  1. I haven’t been on a cruise in several years so I have forgotten the limitations of my iPhone in the Caribbean. I have a Verizon plan with no special travel add ons. Will I be able to send and receive calls to and from the US with no surcharges? Will there be a blackout when at sea? Will I need to change my Settings?
  2. We are considering using this service domestically for our cruise from Miami. Has anyone found any problems with the service? Can the picked up luggage be tracked in real time?
  3. Circling back to my original post, a Cruise Vacation Guide came in the mail frim O today. It includes 8 durable pre printed tags to attach to our luggage. when embarking. It’s a more streamlined booklet than what was sent a few years ago. Which makes sense as postage rates are higher and so much information is online. It must be very difficult for cruisers who don’t have internet or aren’t tech savvy. How could they even book restaurant reservations?
  4. Thanks everyone. I do have tag holders that I also bought on Amazon. I’ll contact my TA if the booklet isn’t receiced soon. Sthrngary - You will love O! We are Celebrity refugees who found O and it’s been our favorite cruise line for many years. You are in for a treat!
  5. Our cruise is about a month away and we booked through a TA. We haven’t sailed with O for a few years. Will we still receive a paper cruise booklet and will there be an online link to printable luggage tags?

  8. I haven’t heard of Starlink. Is it known for more reliable internet connections at sea?
  9. Hi - The decline started when sailing on the Summit. We found the main dining room cuisine subpar. Later on we noticed waiters were assigned more tables and the personal attentiveness disappeared. The production shows became generic with no stand out singers. So sad, as we have so many great Celebrity memories. Harry
  10. I had no idea that there are many other Celebrity refugees out there. We started cruising 25 years ago and we were loyal to Celebrity. But as the years past there were declines in service, cuisine and entertainment, The last straw was an ill fated cruise from Barcelona that abruptly was cancelled one port in, due to a broken rudder. The way passengers were helped with a Plan B was a fiasco, Then we tried O, and we were pleased beyond words. Soon we will take our tenth with O. Harry

  12. I can’t remember if any item was self serve. Possibly some rolls and communal bottles of condiments. It’s a hazy memory.
  13. This will be our first cruise post pandemic and would like to anticipate how O has made changes to assuage any health concerns. Harry

  16. I haven’t cruised on Oceania for a few years and noticed that for a recently booked cruise, a safety video requires viewing during online checkins. Does this replace the pre departure drill for passengers? Harry
  17. Carmel had been our favorite car service for many years when we lived in Manhattan. Especially going to the airport. (We used public taxis which have fixed rates when returning from JFK.) We even used Carmel when moving to Virginia. Harry
