  1. I'll be flying Delta with one stop, transiting through Atlanta with a fairly long layover which helps somewhat. I will be using an Apple air tag which would tell me that my luggage is onboard, but it will be a long flight to Barcelona if I don't get that "ping"!
  2. I'm considering using carry-on rather than checked luggage for a couple of upcoming trips. I'd much prefer to check it, but obviously concerned about all the problems over the past few months. I'm researching online, hoping to find if the situation is improving, but I'm only finding old data from up to early Summer when things were really a mess. Does anyone have recent information or experience with this? And if your luggage was lost, how soon was is returned to you?
  3. Does the Onward have "regular" hairdryers that don't require a button being held down during use? I think this was posted previously, but it's not coming up in my search.
  4. Thanks, Beatnix. I'm staying at Eurostar Grand Marina next to WTC and was hoping to just walk to the terminal. Hope to meet you on board.
  5. Can someone point me to an accurate source to find exactly which pier the 10/29 Onward will be departing from? AZ has told both me and my TA on separate occasions (most recently 2 days ago) that we will be departing from Moll Adossat, but someone on our roll call has posted that portdebarcelona.cat is showing a departure from "Barcelona 18B". Is that different from WTC and Moll Adossat? We haven't received our final documents yet, but I'd like to know as soon as possible. Thanks for any info.
  6. Thanks. This is my first HA cruise. I'm just getting familiar with the board and didn't see any recent discussion about it.
  7. Can the Signature beverage package included in "Have It All" be upgraded onboard to the Elite package for an additional charge? Right now, the current Elite list does not show additional vodka choices from the Signature, but I'm hoping I'll find Absolut vodka available once I board .
  8. I'm new to Holland, taking a TA next year. I'm considering purchasing either the Signature or Elite package. Can someone direct me to a list of which brands (including waters) are included in each plan? Is there beverage service anywhere on the ship other than the restaurants and bars, such as common areas or where performances and lectures are held? Also, it looks like the price is less if you purchase online prior to the cruise. Any chance of any additional promotions before sail date? Thanks.
  9. Have you tried calling American, since it seems they're the booking airline?
  10. I had similar problems with Choice Air and Lufthansa. I doubt you'll have any luck with Choice Air now or later. If you have any receipts or prior emails showing the word Premium or even just the seat no. (that would indicate that it's in the Premium section), bring it to the airport with you. As blag says, Premium is NOTHING like business class, so you won't be missing that experience. Still, I get it - you paid for an upgrade and want particular seats.. I hope you get some satisfaction but don't stress too much. All will be forgotten when you arrive in BCN and board the ship.
  11. Is Azamara still testing passengers between B2B cruises? There was a posting on the FB group, Azamara Reminiscing, that RCI has discontinued it on their ships.
  12. Your detailed information has been so helpful to me - this would make an excellent travel article for those wondering what awaits them if they choose to travel now. I assume if one is asymptomatic, and if they get a negative test early on, they can return home before 10 days and I will bring some monitored self-test kits in hopes of that. In your case, did you receive a Letter of Recovery from a local doctor? I read in a NY Times article of an online site, Quick.med, that provides them after a virtual visit for I think $75.00 This is all Information I had hoped Azamara would provide to passengers being taken off the ship for isolation, if only in written form to take with them. I realizes much depends on local covid rules and the country one is returning to, but something more than putting you in a taxi (with others, no less) to a hotel that wasn't expecting you is essentially doing nothing. I was told several months ago by Azamara that they had a "care team" at each port to assist covid passengers, which I imagined would involve follow up calls, or ways to contact them. Either they have disbanded, or they have a very narrow definition of care.
  13. Well said, Harrietq. That certainly puts it in perspective. It sounds like you were able to leave your room to meet the other hotel guests and that you had a pleasant room. What was "daily life" like for you? Did you rely on room service or able to order take-out? Any opportunity for fresh air? I assume you had wifi and English language tv (not that that is always a perk!). These days, the motto "hope for the best and prepare for the worst" certainly applies - taking more than enough meds, cash, etc. just in the event.
  14. Harrietq, I'm sorry to hear of your experience. It sounds like things were finally sorted out at the Barcelona hotel. Was Azamara in touch with you at all during your isolation period, or did you fend for yourselves regarding any medical needs, meals or return airfare arrangements?
  15. It's been reported here a few times that OBC is not allowed for testing. Likely because they're using third party testing staff.
