This may have been posted already, but I can't find anything.

I've been looking at cruises for early 2025 and notice that the price for Plus is showing at $74 per person, per day.

Are you looking at the "Plus Package" or the "Plus Beverage Package"? The stand alone drink package is approximately $74 US a day.

Saw it 3 times last year whilst on Coral.

They had both matinee & early evening shows.

Show was on last night in Universe Lounge on Coral.

Thank you! I am so glad that show is still being performed.

I was looking at 2025 Coral Princess itinerates and it didn't dawn on me that she hadn't come back to North America yet. I guess that was a "daaaaa" on me.

  3. Since your cruise starts in a few days, just sit tight and wait till you get on the ship; then there are a few things you can do.

    1. After getting on the ship, check your folio.......that will show you what your OBC is and what it was used for and if there is any left.

    2. Go to the excursion desk when they open up and see if they can help you with the excursions and to answer any questions you have about them (and what you were charged).

Do bring all of your paper work with you (such as a copy of the credit card bill showing a refund, a copy of your trip summery (that is on the Princess web site in you trip personlizer.....it shows excursions and the price you paid), any excursion e-mails (don't forget to look in your spam folder).

Hopefully you will get things straightened out to your satisfaction.

We’ve paid final payment, filled out all info on the Princess App. I can’t put in any credit card info.  Why??

How far from your cruise is the expiration date of your CC?

One time we had a credit card that would expire 2 plus weeks after the end of our cruise.....and.....the app wouldn't accept it. So we waited for our new card to arrive and put that one in with the new expiration date and it was accepted by the app.

If you can afford one of the aft facing full suites on the Island then I’d take that. They are really stunning and the S6 category is a great value.   If not I’d sail on the Coral. @ThrakI’m sure will chime in sooner or later. I think it is deck 8 on Coral that has the aft facing public space with loungers, so the cabins close to that was what he suggested.  I’ve only sailed on Island (in those great aft facing suites) but have always wanted to sail on the Coral.  She has a rotating stage in the Universe lounge (please help @Thrak) from what I’ve read that the Island doesn’t.

While decks 8, 9, 10 and 11 aft on the Coral Princess have a public viewing balcony; only decks 10 and 11 are large enough to have loungers.

The first image is of deck 10, aft Coral Princess. 2nd image is of the Coral and the 3rd is of the Island.

To the OP, Coral would be my choice......less passengers and more public space.

  6. From my experience, you can't reserve a "casual dining" venue ahead of time.

After you board the ship, you can call the "dine line" and reserve the time and day you want. I was recently on the Emerald Princess and had no problem making a reservation after boarding. On the Emerald the "dine line" was 6219 and was open from 8am to 5pm......don't know if it is the same time and number on other ships.

Best cabin on the ship.  Sold as a B4 balcony.

I sailed the Sapphire from La to Buenos Aires with 4 days of scenic sailing in Antarctica this past December.  The best side is outside. By. far.  But I had spectacular views from my starboard balcony too.

Did 32 days Hawaii/South Pacific cruise in D736.....great cabin for those longer itinerates.

We are sailing on Emerald Princess this summer.  We have Princess Plus.  Do they still have the Salty Dog Gastropub on board?  I'm just wondering what food options our Princess plus will get us since there is no Alfredos or Gelato bar on board?

Check out the YouTube channel "Code 4 for life".......They were of the Emerald Princess this year and made vids of the casual dinning venues that they visited, including "Salty Dog Gastropub".

Then that would be a rare exception, would it not?

I also have sailed from Quebec to Ft. Lauderdale and Ft. Lauderdale to Quebec......both times we docked in Brooklyn, so (to me) it is not a rare exception.

While the terminal schedule (below) is helpful; schedules do change and sometimes even the captain doesn't know till a few days before.......(yes that happened to us the first time we docked in NY).

It's been Brooklyn for 15 to 20 years. I can't understand why Princess places Manhattan on their schedules. Princess certainly knows the pier where their ship will dock.

You will have to ask NY cruise port why they place Princess on the Manhattan schedule.
On 6/25/24 both the Island and the Emerald will be in NY…..according to the cruise port schedule the Island will be porting in Brooklyn and the Emerald will be porting in Manhattan. By the time June comes around, (who knows) the schedule could be changed.

Yes, I know Princess usually uses Brooklyn, but there can be exceptions (though not very often).

Is that Peanut Butter cookies? Did you have to ask for them to be made? Were they hidden in the back? Or were they out in the display?

Yes, those are peanut butter cookies, and they are hidden behind the counter.

In the International Cafe and Buffet ask the person behind the counter for them. While they didn't have them everyday, they did have them most days.

  12. One time I had 2 excursions that looked to leave before the ship docked.........Princess did change the excursion time on both excursions to start after we docked. The new time was reflected on the excursion tickets that were in our cabin.

If the excursion has both morning and afternoon times, go with the one that corresponds with when the ship is in port........that way you don't have to worry about your excursion being canceled if the other one is over booked.

Would like to know if the #6 picture is before all of the cutbacks in quality. I would never get the sandwich you posted--it almost looks like roast beef lunchmeat. I still love Princess, but so many of their decisions alienate loyal customers and I struggle to figure out how they're enticing new ones.

The image from post 6 was taken on 10-12-2022, Ruby Princess........the image below was taken 12-12-2022, Enchanted Princess. Sorry, I didn't take any images of the Cuban sandwich this year.
