  1. Even though "Key Line" martini is no longer on the menu, I was able to order it.

Below is a image that I think is of the "Baked Alaska" martini.....I know we ordered it at the same time we ordered a "Dirty Banana", if I remember correctly the martini was good.

Yes they did!  I am owed $231.50. But why zero it out?  I’m guessing I’m  going to have to fight them for my $231.

I have been through this several times on recent cruises and Princess has always sent me the amount that they have shown on the "referred to corporate finance" line of your folio.

If you haven't received your $ in 6 to 8 weeks, then start your inquiries.........

The first line specifically says non refundable. The second just says referred to corporate finance and is over $400 which is way too much for me to get back. And both are under charges, not credits.

The "referred to corporate finance" amount is the amount (in form of a check) that is going to be mailed back to you........hopefully it won't take more that 8 weeks to get to you.

We just got off of our cruise and have over $300 coming to us......just in time for Christmas!

  4. About 3 weeks ago I noticed changes to my flight numbers and flight times when I checked them on the airline web site. After making note of the changes, I went to the Princess site to see if they updated their information......and as of today they still haven't. In the past (at least for me) Princess has updated any changes to my flights in a timely manner; not so this time. Tis a good reminder to always check the airline web site.

Does anyone know why Panama canal cruises not included in this? We have a 15 day cruise from FLL to LAX.

We just did the San Francisco to Ft Lauderdale via the Panama Canal this last spring and while the Princess web site indicated that we would be tested some time during the cruise, that didn't happened.

However, when we got to the port for Panama City, the Panama authorities wanted everyone to have a covid test. The cruise line got that number down to 80 people (this is what we were told). Anyway, because of this most people got to their excursions 2 hours late.

So, from what we experienced, I am going to guess that it might be something that the Panama authorities want.

  6. I cancelled a cruise and told Princess that I wanted the FCC'S from the cancelled cruise applied to a different cruise. The FCC's showed up in my Princess personlizer (I think that evening) quickly. However it took several phone calls by my TA to get things straightened out and FCC'S applied to the other cruise. Time wise......6 days.

Personally, I think many of the Princess agents are new with not much experience.......so they are not of much help with something a little bit complicated.

    • ln regards to stateroom E732 on Emerald Princess:

Has anyone here had this stateroom?   What did you think of the location?  Would you book it again?  Did you experience any noise/vibration from Club Fusion when trying to sleep or during the day?  Did anyone experience any issues with not being able to enjoy this balcony due to cigarette smoke from the below promenade deck?

    Thanks so much!

I have been in D732 on the Emerald Princess and had no problems with noise from the lounge. However, I did read a post (somewhere on this forum) from someone who was on the Emerald deck in the same location and they complained about the noise.

If you can, move up one deck to Dolphin deck and you should be far enough away to no be bothered by the noise from the lounge.

  8. Yes, you can use the phone in your cabin to set up a "wakeup" call. Unless you are in cabin C742 on the Caribbean Princess and that option didn't work. I would press "wakeup" call and would get a message stating that that menu didn't exist. After going to "Passenger Services" 3 times to see if they would send someone to fix the phone (they never did) I was given a "work around".

Sooooooo if you find yourself in that situation here is the "work around". Dial 130 and then when prompted dial your time in that you want to be woke up.

  9. You might have to resend your military information again. Last year there were some posts from veterans that they had to do this........I know we had to. I don't know if it was something with their system or if it was something they wanted you to do every 10 years.

    Thank you for your service!

I had the problem with the blank excursion page.  It may be related to your first problem, its just really slow.  Try again and give it 45 seconds, it may populate with options.  It did for me

Thanks........it took about 3 minutes but it did populate. At least now I can check out excursions.

  11. I seem to be having problems using the Princess web site. And it is for all of my bookings.

First it seems to be slow.......I could live with that if the area I wanted to look at eventfully showed up.

Second, when I click on "excursions" all that comes up is a blank page. I have given up looking at the other sections.

I have tried 2 different browsers.

And yes, I have cleared my cache (several times).

Any Ideas other than waiting and hopping that it corrects itself.

  12. While I can't answer to your pacific excursion; I have had Princess excursions booked in the past that were stated to start before the ship docked. Princess does adjust the time of the excursion to work with the time you are to be in port.....at least in my case that has happened.

Up to date is 2 vaccines and a booster. I have not seen any verbage anywhere that they are requiring the 2nd booster since it was just very recently approved.

If Princess just used the word "booster", I would agree that means 1 booster shot. However, it is written as "booster (s)".........which could mean more than 1 booster shot.

Also Princess doesn't state anywhere (that I could find....for US cruises) how many days is acceptable since the passenger got their booster. Is cruising after 100 days, 200 days, 300 days OK. After all the longer since one has gotten the shot, the less protection there is.

I am sure Princess has what they consider a good reason to add this requirement; just wish I knew what it was. 🙃

I am sailing out of San Francisco, not Ft. Lauderdale or Vancouver.  While this is not the first time out of San Francisco, it is the first time since C-19. If you have information about that area, I would love to hear it.

    trbarton

I have sailed out of Ft. Lauderdale already this year (before the current testing changes), so I am familiar with the steps one must go through. Just want to make sure that all of my ducks are in order with the new changes.

CVS...........due to the airlines changing my flight times to San Francisco, going to a CVS there is out of the question. The CVS in the town where I live, only do the PCR test and they don't guarantee the results being back in 3 days (so that is useless). Plus, many people on these forums have mentioned that CVS cancelled their test at the last minute.........

Antigen testing within 3 days of cruise, anyone with experience?

Are there any more people out there like Ella2 that has actual experience doing the Antigen test within 3 days of their cruise.

P.S. I do have a backup plan: just wanted to hear about other's experiences with the current changes for people that are vax and have their booster.

Thank you to all that have replied.

  15. According to the Princess FAQ, if you are vax and boostered you can get your antigen test within 3 days of cruise.

    Vaccination Status

    CDC Definition

    Pre-Travel Test-Type

When to Take Test Before Boarding

    Fully Vaccinated

Received primary series of COVID-19 vaccines with final dose at least 14 days before embarkation

    Antigen

    Within 2 days

    PCR

    Within 3 days

    Up to Date

Received all recommended COVID-19 vaccines, including any booster dose(s) when eligible at least 7 days before embarkation

    Antigen

    Within 3 days

    PCR

    Within 3 days

    Not Vaccinated

    Not fully vaccinated

    PCR

    Within 3 days

However, my passenger copy that I got in mid March (I wanted one that verified that I was paid in full) states the test must be within 2 days of cruise. At that time my passenger summery also stated that.......but now it shows that following information.

    "COVID-19 VACCINATION AND TESTING REQUIREMENT

Please be advised that all eligible guests 5 years and older on this voyage are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and meet the following requirements: - have received their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days before the beginning of the cruise and provide proof of vaccination at terminal check-in - if eligible, proof of a COVID-19 booster at least 7 days before the start of the cruise is also required - provide acceptable proof of a negative viral COVID-19 test (PCR or antigen) taken before of embarkation (for guests 2 years and older). For required timing and details, please visit https://*****/pcl_ustest
Travel requirements are subject to change and vary by destination. Check our CruiseHealth FAQs (https://*****/pcl_usfaq), Princess communications and and official government sites often for specifics for your voyage."

So, I try to go to https://*****/pcl_ustest and https://*****/pcl_usfaq and google states no such sites. Needless to say, I have conflicting information as to which information to follow. NOW, for those that say just do it within the 2 day period........that falls on a Sunday, which is harder to find a testing place (if I have to do it at that time, well, I will work it out).........however if I can do the test within 3 days, my doctor's office is open Saturday mornings and will schedule a time slot for me months ahead of time (so I am guaranteed the test on the day I need it) and at N/C.

My, question is: Has anyone done their Antigen test within the 3 day time slot? If so, did you have any problems with port personal? Please, I would like the experiences from people who have had their test done within the 3 day time period.

If this information helps, I will be sailing out of San Francisco.

The arrival group selection just opened on the Medallion App for our April cruise.  I am able to choose the boarding time but the app doesn't display a way to confirm or save the selection.  If I close the app and then open it again the boarding group is blank .  I tried all the groups (early, mid & late) and they all do the same thing.  Anyone experience this before and have remedy?  Thanks

When I used my iPhone, I did experience what happened to you.....luckily I have the app on my mini i-pad too, so I opened the app on there and was able to see the confirm bottom on the mini.

My apologies, I know these posts are getting redundant. Can I just get my COVID testing done at CVS for free? Why aren't people mentioning it? I can book an appointment 2 weeks out for 2 days prior and it specifically says it's for travel. Seems pretty stress free, so what am I missing? LOL.

I would ask at the CVS that you plan on using if it is a Rapid or a PCR test that they are offering. I checked with the CVS in my town and they were only offering the PCR test and they couldn't guarantee the results coming back within 2 days ...........and they also said that at the moment it was taking 3 days to get the results. I also asked about the price and they told me that the cost would be $150, payable at the time of the exam.

Other people have gotten different answers from the CVS pharmacies in their area, So, I suggest to call the pharmacy or clinic you are thinking of going to and find out what they are doing or offering; as things seem to be different from location to location.
