  1. It's a lot shorter distance than you are talking about, but we have often taken the bus between the San Diego Port and the airport, walking to/from the bus stop. We also once walked from a bus stop to the Pan American Pier in San Juan, PR, more on the order of your journey. We did it just to see if it could be done. We travel light!
  2. If you want to snorkel, the best places are farther north. Arashi beach has services and decent snorkeling. From there you can also snorkel where all the tours go at Catalina Cove/Boca Catalina. Boca Catalina is a great entry spot but there were no rest rooms.
  3. Enjoy your trip--wish we could go again. If you have time, visit both sides. The Argentina side is much more extensive/takes more time. The Brazil side provides a more panoramic view.
  4. Uber worked fine at the port in Rio 2 years ago and was very reasonable.
  5. Most of the flights to IGR leave from the domestic airport in BA, Aeroparque Internacional Jorge Newbery, which is close to the cruise pier. That is convenient for anyone arriving by cruise ship. You should look at baggage rules, however, since it was quite restricted when we were there. There was no luggage storage at the airport when we were there. For the person arriving at EZE and then going to the falls, aside from possible delayed arrival or long lines at immigration, etc., the airport is a long ways from town and there was a major backup from an accident when we were there. We ended up staying in a hotel the night after our arrival and left for IGR the next morning, storing most of our luggage at the hotel. That also allowed us to recover a bit from our overnight flight.
  6. How disappointing. Not sure we will bother going, especially if it is not that great. Any other beaches relatively close to dockyard?
  7. We depart 9/2 and return 9/8, a Friday and a Thursday.
  8. Thank you! That is very helpful. We've spent time on Holland America and they have drastically reduced their always available options.
  9. If you won't have data while you are there, you can get the maps.me app and download the map for Bermuda. It operates on GPS so works fine without cell service. You can bookmark locations and plan "to" and "from" routes and choose walking. It even does verbal directions. You can do the same by downloading maps for google maps in advance and saving them. The only thing I don't like about Google Maps is that the app is not good at recalculating routes if you miss a turn.
  10. We, too, are considering going there on our last morning since our ship sails at 1. It would be helpful to have specifics on entrance fee, chair cost, and whether the snorkeling is OK. Thanks!
  11. Since we are talking dining, I have a curiosity question since I haven't been on RCCL for awhile. Are there menu items that are available every night?
  12. Our cruise is not any time soon, but I have never taken a cruise with a departure this early. What time does boarding usually start? Also, we may park at my sister's house and have her drop us off, pick us up since she lives fairly close. Just curious how bad the traffic might be for a drop off or pick up. Thanks
