  1. That is peak time. Go earlier. Don't worry about the checkin time. If you're early, you can check your luggage and walk over to the 911 memorial and get views of the harbor and take pictures of the ship. You can also go through security and check in. If they're boarding you can just walk on the ship.

    Thank you for your help

  2. It's about 20 minutes without traffic. If you wait until 10-10:30AM to be picked up at the hotel, the cab or Uber should get you there with no problems.

Thank you!! Do you know if there are long lines to get into the port? I was planning on leaving the hotel around 11:00 am we have a check in time of noon. If there will be long lines I can get there earlier

  3. Excited about cruising June 2 !!! Booked this cruise almost a year ago and it's really close. Started packing (I usually over pack and I'm trying to get better, ha) and wondering what the weather is like onboard and at ports. Hot, chilly at night, rain? Any feedback from recent cruisers would be fantastic ! thanks in advance.

Finally after all the planning it's so close! I've been watching the weather in Bermuda and it's been I the 70's, the other ports should be in the 80's

  4. I'm interested in hearing about your experience, too. We are flying tomorrow night from ORD to SEA. Our flight is at 7:55 pm, but we are aiming to be at the airport by 4 pm to give us plenty of time just in case security lines are bad. I've been watching the wait times on MiFlight and the MyTSA apps this past week. For evening flights, it seems like the lines start getting bad a little after 4:30 pm and through the rest of the evening.

    Robb, how were the lines?

  5. I have T-Mobile and was on Indy in March. I bought the internet package. I put my phone in airplane mode and connected to the ships wi-fi and never had any additional charges. To be safe when in port I just kept my phone in airplane mode and only used it for pictures. I will be on Anthem next week and plan on doing the same thing.

  6. What the heck is periscoping:confused:

    did RCCL buy a Sub?

is this some new onboard ship experience?

It's an app that you can download to your phone. Then you can interact with others and follow their experiences. So when someone is on a cruise you can see in real time what they are doing if they are scoping. They can save the videos for 24 hours. It's pretty cool. Some people scope all kinds of things, walking their dog, driving, shopping. People that are watching live then can interact with one another and the person hosting the scope can answer questions.

  7. Just an FYI. Some states are definitely different on the way they issue IDs. I'm from Ohio where they issue driver licenses and state IDs immediately so I never worried much before traveling and only got a passport once I had an international trip planned. However, I moved to Missouri a couple of years ago and was shocked to find out they only issue temporary paper licenses and your plastic one gets mailed out like 10 days or so later. Who does that, right?! Fortunately, my passport is still valid for a few more years but I would never consider not having one now. Living in a state that does paper, it sure feels like a gamble to me to not have some other form of photo ID when you have a trip planned. I could see authorities from another state or RCI or customs giving someone a big hard time if trying to use that piece of paper. Just another reason to have a passport I guess.

The paper DL is because of the new federal regulations, all states will be going that way soon. Illinois will be the same as Missouri next year I believe. You should have the Enhanced DL, those are the ones they recommend to fly with now
