  5. Hello everyone and good evening. Regal Princess has left Cozumel for her 705nm journey to Galveston, Texas. Tomorrow will be a day at sea as we are scheduled to arrive at Pier 2 in Galveston at 7am.on Nov. 5th. Today in Cozumel was very similar to several days we've had over the last 12 nights. Half of the day was rain, and the other half was sunny (or at least non raining). The duty-free shop on the pier was very interesting. First off, not was very nice to go into the shops on the pier because the air conditioning that felt very nice. On the other hand, 8,000 passengers were trying to waddle through while shoppers were in intent on buying gifts as soon as they got off of the ship. If you just walk through quickly, you will be in a lot of duty free shops.(over 50) that is sure to please any passenger of and any budget. I enjoyed lunch today at Poncho's Backyard. They offer good food at reasonable prices. the Coca-Cola's were served very cold too. . . I walked around quite a bit and was impressed with the Puerto Maya port. I am used to selling Royal Caribbean or Celebrity who uses the International Pier (just north of Puerto Maya) it was an enjoyable afternoon. I have been to Cozumel many times, and I often just rented a scooter, or rented a car to go where I needed to go. Just walking around the pier facility was a lot cheaper. Tonight was Lobster Night in Concerto MDR, while the dress code was smart casual, many passengers were suits, and a few wore tuxedos.I made sure to remove my NASA cap. . . You are a few pics from today. . . Radio I got off the ship around 10:00 The Port was very busy today Puerto Maya Pier There was a lot of cool photo ops here today. Poncho's Backyard You could dine inside or out by the water. They even offered seating or lounge chairs for resting. There was a good view of several ships today. Taxi Prices Three Amigos was very popular. Passengers said that the food and drinks were wonderful there Heading back to the ship. Regal Princess is waiting for passengers to return from a Princess excursion. (We left an hour late) The the water was even clear several hundred feet away from the shoreline Regal Princess pulls away from the pier slowly Tonight was Surf and Turf night. .

  7. Hello everyone and good morning. Welcome to DAY 11 of "LIVE" on Regal Princess. We arrived here this morning around 7am, and were secured to the pier at 7:30 am. Regal Princess has been cleared for passengers to go ashore. We are with Carnival Glory at the Puerto Maya Pier (That berths all Carnival brands) The nice thing about the Puerto May a Pier is that it is much larger and has more shops than any pier in Cozumel. This pier is just south of the International Pier (That berths all RCG ships) I will be getting off of the ship soon to see what is new at this pier. All passengers must be back on board by 3:30pm. We had to set our clocks back 1hr last night. Here are some pics from our arrival. Radio Welcome to Cozumel We can see the pier 2 ships will be docking here. There is one of the duty-free shops on the pier 398769671_6763974627012525_625724590572840501_n.mp4 Regal Princess approaches the pier slowly Carnival Glory, Harmony of the Seas, and Liberty of the Seas . :
  8. Hello everyone and good evening. Today was a fun and relaxing day. For some reason , the AIS transmitter is down, so I am unable to follow our current position on Marine Traffic or Cruise Mapper. It still shows us in Oranjestad, Aruba. . . We passed by Grand Cayman around noon and are on schedule our arrival time in Cozumel (7am) I was able to see "Meet the Captain" where the captain will take questions from passengers about life as a captain on board Regal Princess. This was held this afternoon in the Princess Theater. I also saw the steel drum class that was held in Princess LIVE. The Captain's Circle event was held in the Vista Lounge with several officers and the Cruise Director. I was very happy that I had lots of time to rest. I would like to take the mattress home with me because it's so comfortable. The forecast tomorrow is calling for scattered thunderstorms and 82f. Oops. . . I'm glad there are a lot of duty-free shops at the Puerta Maya pier in Cozumel. Here are a few pictures from today. I will be up early for our arrival in Cozumel. Thanks for tuning in. Radio Meet the Captain was fun The Captain has some good stories about becoming a captain. The Training was good for learning Steel Pan PXL_20231102_211011264.TS.mp4 They sound pretty good for first time users I hope I never have to use this evacuation method There are several of these evacuation stations on Promenade Deck The captain talks about his appreciation for Regal Princess passengers. We will be joined tomorrow morning in Cozumel by several Cruise Ships . .
  9. Hello everyone and good morning. Welcome to DAY 10 of "LIVE" from Regal Princess. Today marks the 5th day at sea for this 12 night repo cruise. It might be the toughest sea day I have had so far. Today we are pitching =and= rolling towards Cozumel (Mexico's largest island) The weather is questionable as well. Dark clouds and heavy rain earlier this morning have subsided but there still are heavy cloud formations. I spoke to crew members (First Mate) who suggested that this skies will clear up this afternoon, but the seas may still be rough. No worries, I have cruised in much worse weather, but I think that there are passengers on board who for the first time are feeling a little sea sick. I still have 3 nights left, so I will try to see what I can see while on board. Here are a few pics from this morning. Thanks for tuning in. 11. Hello everyone and good evening. I love Regal Princess, and I love the bedding in my cabin. I always sleep like a baby. Today was an excellent day. It started off with sunny skies and finished off with a nice dinner. I dined again at Alfredo's again and ordered the Vegetable Pizza with Antipasto. It was "wundervoll" I was able to watch the Cozumel Destination talk in Princess LIVE, and catch a health talk, "Secrets to a Flatter Stomach" I thought this seminar was only on Royal. I was also able to check out Fiera (All's Faire in Love) in the Princess Theater. It was a nice show with great music. After a friendly visit to Princess Casino, I am ready to watch some news. Here are a few pics from today. Radio Early morning sun greeted pool deck passengers. PXL_20231101_183029328.TS.mp4 The decks aren't filled up yet but it will be soon. PXL_20231101_182853502.TS.mp4 I love the views looking through the SeaWalk on DECK 16. This was a good talk . . ."exercise everyday, and stop drinking Coca-Cola" Destination Cozumel was a good listen. I loved the pizza at Alfredo's FIERA ! was a nice show The set design and music was spectacular. .
  12. I used to be a Store Mgr with Radio Shack in 1985. AOL just started and all Mgr's were given an email address. That included the Location #. Mine was Radio2460. It kind of stuck. When I signed up for Cruise Critic in 2000, that was my name
  13. Good Morning and Welcome to DAY 9 of "LIVE" from Regal Princess. Yesterday really "ward" me out. (Ward, don't be so hard on the Beav) I was down for the count at 8pm. Right after dinner, I stopped in Princess Casino and then I hit the rack. I'm not sure if it's the sun, the water, or the heat that made me exhausted. I was very happy to be able to go to Flamingo Beach and Iguana Beach.(on the same island, but separate) I missed the Halloween contest last night although several passengers were in costume at dinner. It was fun to watch. Many passengers left trick or treat containers of candy outside of their cabins in the hallway. I may try to attend one of the production shows during my last 4 nights. I'm really not a production show guy, but some look interesting. There's a couple of game shows that I would like to attend. I have heard that the YES/NO Game Show should not be missed. Today will be jam-packed with activities, both indoor and outside. Regal Princess has two days at sea before we arrive in Cozumel on November 3rd. The captain suggested when we left Aruba that we have 1200 nm to go before we arrive in our next Port of call. The forecast today is for mostly sunny skies with calm seas, and warm temps (84f) Here are a few pics from yesterday and this morning. Thanks for tuning in. 15. Hello everyone and good day. I am back on the ship after a delightful day ashore. I was able to get a Day Pass for the Renaissance Hotel that included Flamingo Beach. Flamingo Beach is located on a small private island and is part of the Renaissance Hotel in Aruba. The island is not open to the public and the only way to get there is by boat transfer through the hotel. To get there, you either need to be a hotel guest or purchase a day pass. The flamingos are not scared of humans . . . it is like a sanctuary for them. They are fed by locals and tourists daily. Flamingos are not even native to Aruba. You were also able to use the pool on the mainland at the Renaissance Hotel. You can see the hotel from the ship (at Terminal 2) and you can hop on a small boat and then a Renaissance "crew member" will drive you to Flamingo Island. It is only about a 10 to 15-minute ride. They offer a place for lunch and drinks, and a highly manicured Beach is waiting for you with towels loungers and lots of shade. Rentals are offered while there, including Cabana rentals float and kayak rentals. For a small donation (25¢) you were able to feed the flamingos. The pink flamingos seem to rule the island and they just walk anywhere. They walk on the beach, they walk right next to you, and a woman suggested that when she came out of the stall in the women's room that a flamingo was looking directly at her (maybe hoping for some food) I relaxed at the beach and had some lunch and drinks. When I got back to the Renaissance hotel I took a dip in the pool again, and it was very nice. I made a stop in the Wind Creek Casino, which is attached to the hotel and while the casino was nice it wasn't very "Radio friendly" No worries we still have four more nights to try for some Princess Casino luck. Here are a few pics from today. (More pics and vids from today will be coming soon) Thanks for tuning in Radio Back on board by 4 Taxi prices I love the buildings here My knee has been bothering me so I took a taxi This is the tunnel that is used, but the tide is too high. The hotel is on a very busy street There is an adult and family section to the beach FFF.mp4 We're just chillin . . . I loved being at this beach We drove past all three ships The water was perfect The island is a short ride from the hotel The Wind Creek casinos are very nicE A view from the Renaissance hotel pool.

Carnival Horizon is docked behind us and Holland America"s Nieuw Amsterdam is tying up now. I will be heading into downtown Oranjestad and see what is in the area. 19. Hello everyone. Today was a great day. The weather turned out to be very nice. It was a little hot at times (86F) but overall it was a wonderful afternoon. I went over to the Renaissance Curaçao Hotel and spent a delightful afternoon in the saltwater infinity pool and freshwater infinity pool. I was able to use the showers, changing rooms, and restrooms. They even had a very nice poolside bar overlooking the ocean. Aside from the hotel, the Renaissance complex features the Wind Creek Casino and the Rif Fort Mall. (The Rif Fort was completed in 1829 under the direction of King William I, and was constructed to provide increased protection from pirates and enemies.) When passengers get off the ship, it's a very short walk to a number of vendor stalls selling souvenirs, local foods and beverages, and more. I really loved the Wind Creek Casino. It has new machines, very friendly staff and I was able to get several "free play" coupons. I am thinking about going to the Wind Creek Casino tomorrow in Aruba. I am sure that there are dozens of things I could have done in Curaçao but I am really happy that I was given the opportunity for a day pass at the Renaissance. Our ship will be pulling away soon so I need to get a few night photos. Thanks for tuning in. (I will post more pics from Curaçao later) Radio Welcome to Curaçao Crew painting again There were lots of souvenirs to buy Regal Princess is a beautiful ship I made it to the Renaissance hotel. There were lots of places to dine and shop It really is a lovely property The pools were so refreshing on a hot day like today. I had a palapa for the day I may have put my head down for a few minutes. The "We love Texas" banner was up early The Sandy Beach worked out nicely with the salt water infinity pool. Regal Princess viewed from the freshwater infinity pool The RIF Fort has been converted to a shopping plaza for locals as well as tourists. I was able to see The floating bridge. She really looks nice at night
  20. Hello everyone and good morning. Welcome to DAY 7 of "LIVE" from Regal Princess. We arrived this morning as scheduled at 8 a.m. The ship has been cleared and all passengers are free to go ashore. I should be getting off of the ship around 10, and there may be a lot of exploring to do. There are dozens and dozens of things to do, but I may try something a little relaxing. I hear the food here is very good, and there are plenty of shopping options. Oh, and the sun is shining! I am sure that the local vendors are very happy that over 4000 cruise tourists are ready to shop this morning. We are the only Cruise Ship here today, but will be joined tomorrow by two other ships (Carnival Horizon, and Holland America Nieuw Amsterdam) Here are a few pics from this morning. . . Radio . We can see land and sunrise Regal Princess approaches the pier slowly in downtown Willemstad, Curacao. There is the pier It seems that vendors are getting ready. Downtown is close. It's nice to wake up to sunny skies .
