  1. MSC would provide an option with this - just be sure to check the policies and guidelines regarding bookings with this program.

And to be clear it is not just RCI that charges for children - as indicated most mass market cruise lines do. So if it is greedy, it is pretty much industry wide greed. This has evolved over the years and all still offer promo's from time to time regarding this.

But MSC is the exception - for now.........

  3. If I'm not mistaken, Quantum of the Seas was re-deployed after it was homeported in Bayonne and spent her first season over here, being replaced by Anthem of the Seas. And of the five planned Quantum-class ships in this class, three are in service (1-US, 2-China), two are yet to be constructed: and this is why it really doesn't make sense to put more of them in China. But even if they did, there would be one remaining ship to seasonally homeport in the US and Europe.

Same goes for the Royal-class, where there will be six of them when the current orders/MOA are fulfilled: two are in the US, they could put two or three in China, and still have another left over to homeport on the west coast. They could do this with alternating new-builds, building up the fleets in those respective areas one at a time.

    :D

So now 3/4 quantum for china market

  4. Maybe the 2022 new build from Fincantieri... just a mere five years away! It makes sense now that NCL put an Alaska designed new build in the Caribbean... because there is nothing new coming anytime soon. Grr..

Really looking forward to Celebrity's new Edge class ship(s) and the itineraries half March!

It has a lot of stops for a reposition cruise! Hong Kong Cruise Society speculated it could be media and travel industry only. Even for pampering Asian travel agents that's quite some time in Europe.

Genting Dream (the previous ship leaving Meyer Werft) stopped at Gibraltar and Egypt before transiting the Suez canal and towards Mumbai. Dream had finishing work done while underway and had some blogging folks on board, not sure if they were just the ship's dancers or famous diva's..

I am not expecting any revenue cruises on Joy in Europe, I had some hope for the launch of the wave season/NCL's new itinerary releases but not anymore at this moment. :( What do you think?

Yes i gave up waiting the joy , I will saill on the carebean princess instead [emoji36]

When I heard that Celebrity was sailing out of Dublin I thought "fantastic...just a 2 hour drive to the port instead of having to fly" Then I saw the prices...cheaper to fly!!!
