  1. Sorry if this has already been answered but what breakfast offerings do they have and what time do they open? Do they close between breakfast and lunch and if so, what time do they reopen?? Would love to see a breakfast menu. Thanks so much in advance

  2. Using Tapatalk onboard for LIVE reviews is awesome from my iPhone (which I have used 100% of the time for this review) in the past when I've used my PC, I had to upload to photobucket first, whereas this method is one simple step [emoji3] Plus, I can post several times a day from my phone rather than waiting until I am back in my cabin. I like to answer as many questions as I can.

I will look forward to your report from Oasis, and I'll look at the prices again when I get home. Who knows, we may just end up on the same ship - but....I will pass the LIVE review torch (battery operated of course!) to you for that one! [emoji106]

Just downloaded this app to my phone. Looking forward to using it and yes you are right it does appear very user friendly in regards to uploading pics. Thanks so much.

  3. Aaaaaw! We will just miss each other! Actually the week of April 30th was a better week time wise for us, but thinking back I believe the price was slightly higher and we couldn't get the cabin we wanted...

This will be my first time in Oasis class and I am nervously looking forward to it. I really enjoy Freedom class, so I'm hoping I won't be too overwhelmed with the size difference!

I'm so happy that you are going to cruise again!!! Life does get in the way sometimes, but happy to hear it's out of the way now and you will be back onboard before you know it!

    Thanks for following along [emoji4]

Awwww thanks so much for the kind words. You may want to recheck, the prices actually went down in price and they may have a better deal even on Cyber Monday- not sure what they will offer but I hope its decent. In any event I will try and do a "live from" also. I have never done one but I will try. I have alot to live up to. how do you go about uploading pics? Do you use photo bucket to convert? i would love to know.

Also I simply love the way Oasis is laid out. You would assume that with so many people you would feel so lost and overwhelmed and crowded- but they way they have the spaces laid out actually is such that we never once felt that is was overcrowded at all. We love Oasis so much that we can't wait to go back. Also....we LOVE LOVE LOVE the Park Cafe- its our favorite lunch spot.

  4. Good morning and welcome to a day at sea [emoji41] I really enjoy these days, a great time to just relax, explore the ship, catch up on reading and just basically enjoy doing everything the ship offers, or nothing at all....

The Captain made an announcement just before we left St.Kitts that we would be sailing through a cold front early this morning, and we should be through it by around noon. It's 7:45AM and I just came in from the balcony....it's definitely warm and muggy....? I always look forward to the Captain's Noon Report as well as any other announcements, however I have found it extraordinarily difficult to understand Captain Espen [emoji30]

    Hoping for sunshine later today....☀️

The 70's Dance Party was a lot of fun last night! If you plan on attending and want to catch the flashing disco rings and t-shirts the cruise director's staff throws out, you need to be standing around the bridge closest to Guest Relations. Speaking of the Cruise Director, Casey Pelter is great - he's really funny, has a presence around the ship and is very approachable....all good qualities for a CD to have in my opinion.

Stay tuned for more posts throughout this lazy sea day...it is the first of 2 before we arrive back in Fort Lauderdale....a cruise coming to an end is always sad, but knowing I'll be back on the Freedom for the February 18th sailing makes me happy......91 sleeps, but who's counting? LOL [emoji6]

Awesome review Robin! I see you will be boarding the Oasis as I am getting off in may- we are on the April 30th sailing! I can't wait to be back on her- we did the inaugural sailing and due to life getting in the way have not cruised since- but still so happy to get the chance to cruise again. Oasis is amazing and will always be super special to us both. ;)

  5. Can anyone provide any insight as to whether or not there are any excursions or boat rides over to trunk bay from the cruise port?? There is only 1 excursion our cruise offers and its a very short 90 minutes on trunk bay- and we would love more time to spend there. Would appreciate any and all input on this. Thanks

  6. We absolutely LOVED our cruise on Oasis and booked it again for next April. There is so many places on the ship so people were very evenly spread out and we never once felt crowded. They have organized this ship in such a way that there is plenty of space for everyone. We loved central park esp. at night and was once of our favorite places to people watch. It is so pretty at night just to stroll and take in the quietness and beauty of ship. I think you will absolutely love this ship. They have it fine tuned down to a science. :)

  7. Here is a summary from the RCL blog with a few more details....

Royal Caribbean sent an email to travel partners, indicating that "extensive damage" at the Freeport, Bahamas shipyard, as well as the global rerouting of cargo ships carrying equipment and materials, have causes a delay in getting the new changes implemented on the ship. Several cargo ships carrying essential materials were forced to bypass Freeport to circumvent the storm and, in turn, continued their predetermined route.

Adventure of the Seas will still exit dry dock on November 14, as previously planned, to embark on its scheduled itineraries. Royal Caribbean was able to implement some of the changes as scheduled, such as updated design and décor, as well as newly renovated areas such as Boleros Latin lounge and the two-story mini golf course. However, there will be visible work going on during the next sailings.

Work will continue on the Dual Racer water slides, FlowRider and Splashaway Bay aqua park with a new opening date of December 10, 2016.

Chops Grille will now open early next year, while Izumi Japanese Cuisine is no longer part of the planned scope. Giovanni's Table, will offer select Chops Grille menu items until the steakhouse opens in early 2017.

The introduction of new staterooms is no longer possible at this time. Guests booked in these staterooms will be contacted by a representative from Royal Caribbean's Customer Service team to discuss re-accommodation options on the same sailing. Guests confirmed in a panoramic oceanview stateroom will be offered a complimentary upgrade to balcony accommodations and $100 OBC per stateroom to spend onboard.

All guests on Adventure of the Seas sailings departing November 14 - December 3, 2016 will be offered a 25% Future Cruise Credit based on the cruise fare paid.

The new timetable looks like this.

Available as of November 14, 2016

    • Two story mini-golf course
    • Boleros Latin Lounge

Available as of December 10, 2016

    • Dual Racer Water Slides
    • FlowRider
    • Splashaway Bay Aqua Park

    Coming in Early 2017

    • Chops Grille
    • Suite Lounge

    Removed from renovation plans

    • Izumi Japanese Cuisine

Thanks so much for the updates!! There is no mention if the existing rooms and suites received new updated bedding etc. I would love to know the answer to that if anyone happens to know. I suppose if not may have to wait till people start boarding to find out.

  8. I am booked next Feb in one of the new panoramic view rooms (deck 12 rm 1864), have not had any contact from my TA as to a change. I wonder if they were added, but just not finished for 1st cruise.

I also booked only because I got this room and have already booked all my flights. I have young kids and am not really interested in a balcony upgrade.

FYI, the room still shows in my vacation summary page on the Royal, my cruise web site page.

Wow please let us know if you hear anything and what the accomodations are if any. Thanks

  9. For Southern Carib itinerary next March, here's what I've got so far after lots of reading here (we are not big on sightseeing tours or shopping, too lazy to hike, and in the past have most enjoyed snorkeling/beach/water stuff):

    - St. Maarten--walk to Divi Little Bay for easy beach and snorkel

    - St. Kitts--probably catamaran to Nevis thru RCCL

    - St. John's--Adventure Antigua Ecotour (snorkel boat)

    - St. Lucia--coastal cruise to Pitons booked thru RCCL

    - Barbados--probably taxi to Boatyard for fun beach day and maybe hop on a boat to snorkel with turtles

Thoughts? I know it seems like a lot of water stuff, and I thought about something like the cave tour in Barbados, etc. but we have never been to any of these ports and I think each beach/water day will be a little different.

We are definitely doing the same thing in St. Kitts and St. Lucia- not quite sure yet on the other ports- In Antigua we will most likely do a beach day. I think your plans look amazing so far. :)

  10. We always get to the port early and just love the walk up the gangway and onto the ship, its always such a thrill for us and never gets old. Then we head to the Windjammer for lunch or if on Oasis- head straight to park cafe' its our absolute favorite. After that we head to our room then to the pools. We always do Chops and Giovanni's table- we love them both and also a must is having breakfast delivered every morning with coffee, fruit, pastries and muffins. We also love love sitting out on our balcony its so relaxing and peaceful. Ahhhhh I want my cruise to start like NOW!! I have such a long wait still
