  1. Team Tom.....I just love your enthusiasm!! It is so rare to see that from a male perspective!! You are going to absolutely LOVE the Oasis!! We sailed on her for her inaugural sailing and it was the most special time we have ever spent. We booked 2 years before hand and watched all the progress from first keels being laid till her transatlantic crossing and then home to Port Everglades. I remember just how very excited we were- Do not forget to try the Park Cafe' - it is absolutely fabulous!! Its less crowded than the Windjammer esp on sailing day. Also if you are able book Giovanni's table- the meal was incredible there. Also spend some time in Central Park- we loved going there in the evenings after dinner when it's all lit up and its very romantic setting. I am so excited to hear your thoughts and comments and wish you a fabulous time!! Enjoy every second of your trip!!

  2. The lounges are accessible 24 hours with your SeaPass card. However, the Concierge will likely be there only for several hours in the morning and several in the evening. The evening hours usually start about an hour prior to early traditional dinner time.

You must be checked-in at least 90 minutes prior to scheduled departure.

    Awesome, thanks!!

  3. Does anyone know when the suite lounges open up prior to dinner- is it like an hour or so before? I am just wondering. And can they book your excursions for you ahead of time? We have not traveled much in a suite only 1 other time and that was quite awhile ago so I just wanted to kind of know how the process works- also since we leave so late when do you all actually leave to board the ship. We have usually always arrived early around 10 10:30 AM and are usually onboard by 1130-12 for a 5 PM departure. Thanks in advance.

  4. It's too early for dining and show reservations. Usually 60-120 days in advance of your cruise. Just keep checking. I would book yourself. Most concierges will not acknowledge your e mail until a week or so prior to your cruise and the times you want may be gone by then.

Yeah...that's what I figured, thanks for the advice and information. What about priority boarding...exactly how does that work?

  5. It's been quite a few years since our last cruise and we are booked in GS for October. I have been online trying to use the cruise planner to book dining for specialty restaurants and also shows- but keeps saying not available to book. When do these options open up and should I just wait for the concierge and have him book for us? If I do that and decide to wait for him then would I risk not getting the dining times and show times I want? What is the best way to go about doing this?? Appreciate any input. Also, I know we get priority boarding but we are also platinum members, will earn emerald after this cruise, what line do I get in to access this, is there a suite line or C&A line? Thanks

  6. Just a quick update... We are booking our second cruise (last minute!) in April on Navigator of the Seas. I am prepared that it will be quite a different experience two classes down but we are looking forward to it. Oasis was actually priced similarly (maybe a couple hundred difference) but we wanted to try a smaller ship this time. And we are doing a balcony for the first time and also stopped at Labadee so there is plenty to look forward to!

Your review really excited me and brought me back to our first cruise many years ago. We also have tried other cruise lines and much prefer RCCL to all of them- sure things are never perfect but a vacation is what you make it. And we have always had a great time and have always been treated like royalty. I will warn you though that once you stay in a balcony room, you will never go back to anything less. Being able to sit out on the balcony in morning having your coffee and pastries or at night listening to sea and staring up at stars....well there is just nothing like that in the world. It just gives you a whole new appreciation for the beauty that is in our world. I am excited to hear what you think of the Navigator- we cruised our 1st cruise with RCCL on the Explorer and it was simply fantastic. I know you will love it. We are actually headed back on the Oasis in October and we can't wait. THanks for taking the time to do such a great review. It was awesome!!

  7. Just boarded Adventure of the Seas. All I have to say is this whole group of people just kills me. "Check-in is a nightmare," "the ship is tired," "the staff is grumpy," "bar staff is slow," blah blah blah.

We arrived at the pier at 12:15. Found the platinum and above bag drop all the way to the left as indicated on these boards - great tip! And we're on the ship at 12:45.

I've officially learned to never take people's reviews on this site seriously. The ship looks great! The staff is super friendly! We've been served instantly multiple times already and with many smiles. I'm so excited for a wonderful week.

Give me a break! Sail Adventure. If you're miserable stay on shore and leave the fabulous vacations for those of us who appreciate it. Have a great time. Enjoy life!!!

    xoxo

We had an awesome trip on the Adventure...be it was awhile ago but are looking to perhaps sail on her again soon. We absolutely loved the ship and yes I agree the waitstaff and everyone could not have been nicer.

  8. Does anyone happen to know when they will release dates/itineraries past April 2016? We have the AOS booked for 4/9 that we need to change because our daughter is planning her wedding for following weekend- but as of now there are no dates past 4/9 - we would like to keep same itinerary or possibly change but to date nothing we can change to. Any help would be appreciated and thanks very much.

  9. Was wondering if anyone has stayed here recently?? Reviews are mixed but overall does not seem to be too bad. Appears close to port and shuttle is available to and from port for a small fee. I have read to avoid west wing as it is in need of renovation but perhaps hotel already is aware of this. We have requested east side villa room. Would like an honest opinion on this if possible thanks in adance. Our cruise is not till July next year

  10. This is getting really ridiculous now. I hope you're right Dave. I know you, Ken & I have anxioulsy been awaiting this information forever!!!:cool:

I know, I have been waiting just as long. It is quite ridiculous and really unacceptable to me. There is absolutely no excuse in the world that the itineraries are not open and available for booking. When Oasis was introduced we were able to book over 2 years in advance!! I bet they will open booking just before NEXT summer!!!!!! How bout them apples?? Yeah I am a bit upset but I am still wanting to see them just like everyone else. I really don't think RCCL cares at this point or else we would know already. what time is the reveal today?

  11. I asked Adam Goldstein about the live streaming and he said No there would not be one.

Why am I not surprised. I am so disappointed with the way RCCL has handled the summer releases particularly this ship - with no new news since last year!!:eek: I certainly liked the way they did the Oasis inaugural- we got regular updates every few months and were able to book over 2 years out. Not so with the Quantum and it has lessened my enthusiasm a lot. I still do want to sail on her and most likely will- but I just think they went about this all wrong, of course it is just my opinion for whatever that's worth.
