Take small denominations of bills so you wont need any change.

that’s what I ended up doing…I had small bills in US dollars so I could buy a few souvenirs. I also had a credit card that has no foreign fees so I utilized that a few times.

I also tipped the tour guides in US dollars they were happy to take them 😃

  2. I was on the Panorama a month ago and had Marty. He and his entire fun squad staff were wonderful. Lots of energy and we saw him multiple times a day at various events or just walking around the ship. He was literally everywhere. We went to all the deck parties and everyone was dancing and having a great time.

Definitely one of the better cruise directors I have had!

  3. I was on Panorama a month ago and they started debarkation for self-assist at exactly 9:15. They called by muster station.  We had to wait a while before they called ours, debarkation was a bit of a mess.

We were out of the building, through customs and in the parking garage area at 10:30.

I know that Platinum & Diamond got off earlier than 9:15.

I have never used Verifly- now that it says ready to sail how do I use it at cruise terminal - do they scan it, look at it? It has no QR code attached being in US.

You show it to them when you’re checking in. About a month ago in Long Beach, the port agent asked me if we had done VeriFLY and then I pulled it up.

Just got off the phone with carnival and they said that a temporary Id from the dmv will be excepted as long as it has a picture on it. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I don’t have any experience personally but I just found this on the Carnival website.  Good luck!

  6. I just had a cove balcony on Panorama a few weeks ago and loved it! Be sure to check what is above you though as many of the rooms are under the galley. Also I heard that the coves at the front of the ship get a lot more spray from the water, ours was in the middle and never really got the spray.

  7. I am not sure about several bottles but I can tell you that I was on Panorama 2 weeks ago and purchased one bottle of wine at the 50% discount in the steakhouse on the first night. It didn’t even occur to me to ask for more than one.

How long did it last?  What was the highlight of the tour? Trying to find something for our cruise in November.

It was about 3 hours. The whole thing was great, the guide was super friendly and informative. She provided some history about the area. There were 6 or 7 food stops. I think my favorite was the tamale, but honestly everything was delicious. We went to places that we would have never gone on our own because we don’t really speak Spanish. It was really interesting to go to where the locals go. I’m attaching a few pics.
