  1. We ate at Rudi’s last night and my grilled seafood platter horrible. So salty. Left.
  2. A funny for the day. We were sitting in the Denver airport waiting to board and I checked my AirTag app and it said our luggage was in San Diego. It beat us there.
  3. Sitting in the Orlando airport waiting to board in 45 minutes. Security line was 90 minutes long.
  4. Sitting in the lobby of the hotel next to the Orlando airport waiting for our room to be ready. Flight tomorrow leaves at 10 AM and we get into San Diego at 5:30 PM.
  5. Getting ready to head to the hotel for flight tomorrow, early. San Diego here we come. Jungle Bird cocktial: Ingredients 1 1/2 ounces blackstrap rum 3/4 ounce Campari 1 1/2 ounces pineapple juice 1/2 ounce lime juice, freshly squeezed 1/2 ounce demerara syrup Garnish: pineapple wedge Steps Add the rum, Campari, pineapple juice, lime juice, and demerara syrup into a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice. Garnish with a pineapple wedge.
  6. Melon Ball cocktail: Ingredients 1 cup ice 4 fluid ounces pineapple juice 1 fluid ounce melon schnapps 1 fluid ounce vodka Directions Place ice, pineapple juice, schnapps, and vodka in a cocktail shaker. Place cap on the shaker, shake, and strain into a cordial or pony glass.

  9. Gin and Tonic cocktail: A gin and tonic or, less frequently, gin tonic, is a highball cocktail made with gin and tonic water poured over a large amount of ice. The ratio of gin to tonic varies according to taste, strength of the gin, other drink mixers being added, etc., with most recipes calling for a ratio between 1:1 and 1:3. Apple Pie cocktail: Ingredients 5 ounces apple cider, * 1.5 ounces fireball whisky 1.5 ounces vanilla vodka turbinado sugar, optional Instructions If you'd like a sugar rimmed glass: Pour a thin layer of turbinado sugar into a shallow bowl. Run a lemon or apple wedge to around the rim of your glass (or use a bit of apple cider) and dip into sugar to coat. Fill glass with ice and set aside. In a cocktail shaker, combine apple cider, fireball, and vodka. Shake to combine. Pour into prepared glass and serve immediately.

  12. Seattle Sidecar cocktail: Ingredients Scale 1 oz. rum 1 oz. triple sec 1 oz. sparkling apple cider ½ oz. lime juice Instructions Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a cocktail glass rimmed with sugar and serve. Substitute apple juice for the sparkling cider if none is available.

  14. We drink Plumeria D'Asti Moscato. Tried it many years ago ona BHB and drink it ever since. It is a sweet wine, which we like, and is less than $10 a bottle. If you buy it by the case at our local ABC store you can save 10%.

Jack Rose cocktail: Ingredients 1 1/2 ounces applejack or apple brandy 3/4 ounce lemon juice, freshly squeezed 1/2 ounce grenadine Garnish: lemon twist Steps Add the applejack, lemon juice and grenadine into a shaker with ice, and shake until well-chilled. Fine-strain into a coupe glass, and garnish with a lemon twist.

Fox River Cocktail: 1 sugar cube 5 dashes peach bitters ice 2 tsp crème de cacao 2 oz whiskey 1 lemon peel Preparation Saturate sugar cube in peach bitters by placing the cube into a rocks glass and pouring enough peach bitters over cube to saturate. Place 1 large ice cube (or a few smaller ice cubes) in the glass. Pour crème de cacao into the glass, then add whiskey. Squeeze a lemon peel over the top and stir slightly (3 to 4 swirls of the wrist – no bar utensils needed). Serve.

Hugo cocktail: Ingredients 2 sprigs fresh mint, divided 1/2 ounce elderflower cordial or syrup (1 tablespoon) 4 ounces chilled prosecco or other dry sparkling wine (8 tablespoons) 2 ounces chilled club soda, seltzer, or sparkling water (4 tablespoons) Ice 1 lime wheel Instructions Pick the leaves from 1 fresh mint sprig and place in a wine glass. Add 1/2 ounce elderflower cordial or syrup and muddle gently with a muddler or wooden spoon to lightly bruise the mint leaves and release their oils. Add 4 ounces prosecco and 2 ounces club soda. Top with ice. Gently stir to combine. Garnish with 1 lime wheel and the remaining mint sprig.

Missionary's Downfall cocktail: Ingredients 1 ounce white rum 1/2 ounce creme de peche 1 large fresh pineapple chunk, about 1/4 cup 3/4 ounce lime juice, freshly squeezed 1/2 ounce honey syrup 8-12 large mint leaves Garnish: mint sprig Garnish: pineapple wedges Steps Add all ingredients into a blender with 3/4 cup of ice and blend for about 20 seconds. Pour into a Collins glass. Garnish with a mint sprig and a pineapple wedge. Serve with a straw.

Swinging Sultan cocktail: Ingredients 3 oz Pomegranate Juice. 6 oz Vodka 1/2 oz Raki 1 1/2 oz Triple Sec 1 1/2 oz Lime Juice Ice cubes Directions Combine vodka, pomegranate juice, Triple Sec and lime juice in a large shaker with ice. Shake vigorously for five to ten seconds. Pour into two martini glasses. Spray raki over surface of each drink, 1- 2 spritzes per glass.
