  1. Right next to the Alchemy Bar is the Limelight Lounge. It is host to daytime trivia, PG comedy shows, and late night dancing….. Here are the first two comedians of our cruise….. Patti is looking down at Latitudes on Deck 6….. I left the cabin at 10:30am to head down to the Tropicale Bar at Celebration Central to have a Bloody Mary or two before “The Wave” show started at 11am. Pat & Jim were already there….. Patti arrived a few minutes later and ordered a Chocolate martini….. Cruise Director Lee Mason saw us there and came over to say hello. We have cruised with him many times and consider him a friend. As we moved from the bar over to our seats for the show, we bumped into another old friend, Marcela from the Fun Squad….. Marcela will be leaving the ship in St. Thomas to fly to Long Beach to fill in as Cruise Director on the Panorama. Good Luck Marcela! Megan and Lorraine have come down and joined us….. To be continued…..
  2. Patti moves forward on Deck 7 and checks out the Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse…. The Steakhouse Bar is right up front….. Here are some views inside the Steakhouse…. Here is the Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse menu….. Moving forward on Deck 17, Patti finds the Alchemy Bar….. To be continued…..
  3. She steps outside to check out the Patio Pool….. Around the corner on the starboard side are a couple of hot tubs and the Watering Hole….. The Carnival Horizon is still sailing along side of us….. Patti steps back inside to the Heroes Tribute Lounge….. Patti goes down to Deck 17 and checks out the upper level of the Festivale Restaurant…. Here is tonight’s “Feast” menu….. To be continued……
  4. Patti heads further aft into Summer Landing….. Here she finds Guy’s Pig & Anchor….. To be continued…..
  5. Patti continues with her early morning picture tour on Deck 8. Here is the outside Bar 820 bar. The smoking section begins here and extends forward on the Lanai….. Patti checks our Rudi’s Sea Grill next….. This is Carnival Adventures (Shore Excursion Desk)….. A little further aft is Guest Services….. To be continued…..
  6. Let's just say that the last two pictures of the first set were slightly uh provocative. Patti has chastised me for my picture selection. 😃
  7. Yes. Select your check in time first. You can take your time filling out the rest. 😎
  8. Greg will tell you once he leaves tomorrow. Maybe. Security reasons. 😃
  9. Just a little further aft on Deck 8 is Cucina del Capitano….. Further aft is the 820 Biscayne area….. Get your pizza at Miami Slice….. Right next door is the Deco Deli….. To be continued…….
  10. Looking out the window Patti sees that the Horizon has caught up to us, and is now on the starboard side….. Patti crosses over to the port side to check out Chibang….. Patti heads aft past Celebration Central to Pixels where she picked up her VIFP gifts last night….. To be continued……
  11. Patti is going to try to cover all the venues on Deck 8. She starts with Bonsai Sushi where we ate last night…… This is Bonsai Teppanyaki where we will be eating tonight….. She moves forward on the starboard side and passes Dreams Studios….. A little further forward is the Havana Bar….. To be continued…..
  12. Day # 2 - (January 15th) - A Really Fun Day at Sea # 1. Happy Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We were up at 7am to a partly cloudy warm day. The seas are fairly calm. Here are the views from our balcony looking forward and aft….. That’s the Carnival Horizon behind us on the port side….. The clouds clear up a little and we get a beautiful sunrise….. Here are today’s Fun Times….. I make a trip up to the Lido to get Patti some juice, and then I stop at Bar 820 for a coffee. Pat & Jim are sitting at a table across the way….. We pause to bring you this important Public Service announcement (PSA). If you are coming to Bar 820 for a coffee, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT sit at the bar. You will not be served! You must go to the far end of the bar, where there may or may not be a line, to purchase your coffee. Once again, DO NOT sit at the bar if you are ordering coffee. This PSA was sponsored by sid_9169. After chatting with Pat & Jim for a little while, I head back to the cabin to work on the pictures. Patti, once she gets ready, will head out to take pictures of some of the venues before the people get out of their beds. Patti heads down to Celebration Central on Deck 8 where she sees the cast rehearsing for tonight’s show….. To be continued…..
  13. I understand completely. That's why there's a scroll button.
  14. I finished my unpacking, and at 6pm we met Pat & Jim at Bonsai Sushi for dinner. It looks like they’re getting ready to Activate the Fun! Here are the menu and place settings….. Pat’s having the Miso soup….. Patti is having the Miso soup, green salad, edamame, and California roll….. I’m having the Miso soup, bang bang roll, and the pork and beef skewers….. After we ate we decided to do a little bar hopping. We wanted to start at the Alchemy Bar, but it was packed. We went downstairs to Latitudes, on got seats at the back of the bar. My favorite drink here is the Pimms cup……. Rob is entertaining us with his acoustic jams…… At this point Pat and Patti said that they were heading back to the cabins. Along the way Patti got this shot of the Playlist Cast doing their Sneak Peek in Celebration Central. Patti stopped at Pixels and picked up her VIFP pin and toiletry bag. Jim and I had one more drink at Latitudes before heading over to the Golden Jubilee. We were surprised that it was so empty. Jim ordered bourbon, and I ordered a cruiser. I posted on both Megan and Sid’s Lives that we were down here, and within a few minutes Megan and Brian joined us. Sid was on his way back to his cabin for the night when he got the message, and he also joined us. These live reviews were like instant messaging! After a couple of drinks Jim decided to call it a night, and Megan and Brian headed to the Comedy show. Sid and I hung out and chatted about anything and everything. The place filled up quickly as the Backyard Band began to perform there. We enjoyed listening to them. We had three “one mores” before we both decided to call it a night. So ends our first day on the Carnival Celebration and now it’s time for the Cheers recap. In the beginning I told you that collectively Patti and I had to drink 12 alcoholic beverages a day to make it worth-while. Today’s tally: Patti (4), Jeff (13) for a total of (17). We’re (+5) for the day. Yippee!!! Off to a good start!! Coming up next: A really fun day at sea. Tribe style!!!
  15. We are being escorted out to sea….. We are sailing past South Pointe Park and Smith & Wollensky….. We are now sailing past South Beach….. I can’t believe that there are actually people in the water….. We’re leaving Miami behind….. To be continued……
  16. It started to rain around 3:30 so the Sail Away party I believe was moved to Celebration Central. I can’t believe that we’re going to have another crappy sail away. If you remember our B2B cruises on the Venezia, it poured on both sail away days! We decided to watch our soggy sail away from our cabin balcony. When we got back to the cabin, we found that all of our luggage had arrived. Patti began to unpack while I documented the action. Here are our rainy, miserable sail away pictures…… To be continued……
  17. Not at all! Everyone is invited to post their pics and experiences! 😃
