Just wondering if anyone can give me an idea of what the "headliner" show was like? I realize this changes (every cruise?) but wondered what thoughts were regarding this show.

Great..sounds perfect.

Anyone have an idea when fall/winter 2017 itineraries will be announced?
-
Thanks! I think usually will just be 4 of us. There isn't a problem getting a table for two or four when you want is there?

We normally cruise NCL but will be on Allure in a few weeks. I am confused by a few posts that I read indicating people made reservations for my time dining. I thought we could just show up and be seated (on NCL we usually never have a wait more than a few minutes). Is this different?

Im doing a live review from Oasis this week, I'll try and pic of the menu for you!
Thanks! Would appreciate it!

Do you happen to remember prices for Sabor? I'm thinking I would like to do that for lunch our first day.
-
Does anyone have the price list for Sabor on Allure? I am planning lunch there the first day on our cruise and would love to check the menu ahead of time.

I seem to recall that when my husband and I cruised aboard the Enchantment over a decade ago, that we both purchased punch cards. It was for 10 mixed drinks, and I think it was around $65.
Does anyone else recall this from years gone by?
Great to know that I will be able to do this again in a month aboard Oasis!

Yes, I remember the "Royal Cocktail Cards" as we bought them years ago as well. I also remember the bar servers being rather uninterested in serving when they realized you had the cards. I guess now with the UBP offerings they must be used to it.

We have credit cards with no foreign transaction fees (Capital One has them with no annual fee). I always get euro ahead of time from Wells Fargo (Bank of America also has branches that have foreign currency at the branch but you need to call ahead either bank to make sure they have what you are looking for before you go).
We use credit cards everywhere they allow us to. I prefer having the euro to use for the places that will not take cc and we just keep the remaining euro for our next trip.
I know the bank exchange isn't the best rate but I would much rather pay a little more ahead of time than worry about needing to get it where I am going.

We must have had the larger prime rib on our Epic cruise two weeks ago which was served on the last night. We all remarked on what a huge piece it was and how it was a good PR move to provide that on our last night to be the last dinner we would remember on the ship. It's very sad to me that they are changing everything like this. I hope it is a test that fails quickly.

Thanks for the information. I feel better knowing I can get it as early as possible. We are cruising in Dec. 2016 so we will plan a trip to Washington (good reason for a weekend trip anyway) in May so that we can get this taken care of.
I must have been pulling outdated information initially but glad to know the correct info.

I think after re-reading the visa is good for a total of 90 consecutive days but can be purchased a year ahead so that would be better.
-
I was just reading that you have to use the visa within 90 days of it being approved so that means we will have to apply after final payment which is a bit scary. I wonder why there was no mention of the visa from my TA. I will write him as well.

I just booked the 12/3/16 cruise out of Buenos Aires that ends in Rio. My TA sent a note that we need to pay a $160 fee to enter Argentina which we can do online.
My question is do we need anything when disembarking in Rio? I was hoping we could spend one extra night there but hoping we would not need a visa if we decided to do that.
If you do need a visa to stay an extra night can you avoid getting one if you disembarking straight to the airport? Our ship has an overnight there before we get off so if that was the only option we might have to do that.

Any tips on getting their supposedly English-language site (as in when you click the British flag most sites that have that change to the English-language version) to actually display in English? I speak only the most basic Spanish and cannot understand their website as it will not translate.
Just send an email to Juan at info@royalroadbarcelona.com and he will quote you. :)

I would like to share a recommendation for Juan at Royal Road Barcelona. We used his service in 2011 when it was under the name of Autos Vilar. We just used him again this past week for pick up from the ship to the hotel and to the airport from the hotel. My cousin also ended up booking them to transport to the train station. They were always prompt, the drivers very pleasant and the vehicles were nice. I will use him again for our next trip to Barcelona.

I am also on the 19th cruise. Excited to see the new changes (have sailed the Epic 4 times so far) and that "finished on the 17" would make my cruise! Those of us who booked this sailing very early out have had so many changes to deal with that I hope once we board it is all wonderful. I decided that the reason we have to leave on the 19th rather than the 18th is that Paul & Ringo have to come on board to christen the new Cavern Club. They obviously had an engagement that Sunday. ;) Now wouldn't that be nice!

Sounds wrong 40 million dollars might include new engines but no way,This is how rumours start,
Two new engines in the works..

If I could get my eggs Benedict delivered I actually would pay the $7.95. Otherwise it is dining room or my DH bringing me something from the buffet.

We are on the now "6-night" cruise right after dry dock. We lost a day as they needed to extend for the repairs. I am really hoping everything goes smoothly. I do want them to be quite sure the big hole has been properly patched! We leave for London three weeks from today.
-
We're doing a timeshare this fall for 14 days. I certainly hope I love St. Maarten as much as you! We actually will have an empty unit one week as my mother backed out, if you can travel on short notice...
That sounds so nice! I wish I could but we are sailing on the Epic out ofSouthampton this fall. At least I hope! It has been an event with this booking as it is coming out of dry dock.
If you like jewelry shopping stop in at Grand Jewelers while there. If you do..tell Sunny & Mickey hello from Jeff & Lori. ;)
I would love to hear how you felt about staying there when you return. I may have to try that myself.

One other point - I don't expect they would change current itineraries. I just hope they will consider the island again for future itineraries.
-
If they were going to change away an island, I wish that it would be Nassau.
I agree as well! Don't get me wrong - I like new itineraries too. It just seems that they could include different stops on different ships or alternate itineraries so those who have a preference can pick what they like.
