pcur Posted October 14, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 14, 2017 For those of you who have sailed in/out of Tampa from Terminal 6, can we walk to/from the Port Tampa Bay streetcar stop on Channelside Dr to the HAL cruise dock? We are on a b2b2b trip, and need to get from Terminal 3 to 6, and then back to Terminal 3 after the HAL cruise.
Homosassa Posted October 15, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 15, 2017 Terminals three and six are next to each other. However, there is probably a fence. I am not sure taking the trolley will give you any advantages as it may be the same stop for both terminals. If you are going to walk and take your luggage out to the main road and then walk back into the other terminal, it will probably be just about as long as walking to a trolley stop and walking back from the next stop (if there is one). You will be better served to take a cab if you don't want to walk.
Homosassa Posted October 15, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 15, 2017 Here is an aerial view of the terminals. Terminal six is the one between McKay and York If walking, one can go out MacKay and back in by York. By car, one must enter further down for terminal three as as traffic is one way. The trolley stops are also marked on this map and it will save some steps. http://www.worldportsource.com/ports/map.96.1694.php
pcur Posted October 15, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted October 15, 2017 Thanks for your reply. It appears stop #7 is in front of Terminal 3, and stop #5 is in front of Terminal 6, both on Channelside. It just appears to be a shorter walk to Terminal 3 from the trolley stop. We would prefer to take a taxi, but wondered if they would take us 3/4 of a mile. On embarkation day for the first cruise, we want to talk to a taxi driver dropping off at the NCL terminal to see if we could take a taxi up to Terminal 6 for the HAL cruise. We could also drop off our luggage and check-in with NCL, then take the trolley up to stoop #5, and walk to Terminal 6. That way we know ahead of time if there are any issues. Born2go Posted October 15, 2017 #5 Share Posted October 15, 2017 It would be more of a hassle to take the trolley (streetcar) than it would be to walk. Obviously if you have lots of luggage it would be an issue. There are private shuttle services like Barracuda Travel that also may be willing to just run you over to the next terminal. I don't think a taxi can refuse you, but I would try the private services . Ship to Shore is another private operator at the terminals. (I work for Intercruises in Tampa and familiar with all 3 terminals)
