Vacationdreamer<>< Posted July 22, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 22, 2018 We are a family of eight that has booked two connecting state rooms on Breakaway for a May 2019 sailing. This is our second NCL cruise, with the first on Getaway that included unlimited specialty dining. This booking allows for three specialty meals for the first two guests in each state room. We plan to add three meal package for the second two members of each state room. In addition we plan to purchase the soda package for all 8 guests. (Two will be children.) I was inclined to add both now, but we have $100 OBC for each stateroom and can’t think of anything else we would use that for. We opted for prepaid gratuities and locked in when we booked. Are you inclined to add beverages ahead of time or specialty dining ahead of time? Is one more or less likely to benefit us to have already settled prior to boarding? We intend to have reservations for dining each day of our trip. We prefer the planned meal times. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Rare shof515 Posted July 22, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 22, 2018 the dinning package is a little bit more money when purchased onboard. i think it is a 10 dollar difference if you want to use the OBC for the packages, you will have to do this onboard. this can not be done online
Vacationdreamer<>< Posted July 22, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted July 22, 2018 Oh! Thank you. I did not realize the cost was different! That leads me to adding the meals ahead of time and purchasing the beverage package on board! This is exactly why I asked here! Thank you. Maniacal Cruiser Posted July 22, 2018 #4 Share Posted July 22, 2018 Buy the meal packages ahead of time and you can book pre-cruise with the packages when dining reservation open up.
