Deals

This would probably be directed more towards US folks. Can deals be had for MSC. Seems what I'm finding on the internet seems to be the same if you call MSC. Has anyone found any specials for any of their cruises in the past? Are there travel agents out there that get a better rate and pass it on, even if they shouldn't. We all know that there are agents like that. Yes I know that the lines are trying to crack down on the discounting but without the discounting I for one will think three times before going on a cruise.

I did find significant savings from an agency that had pre-booked a group of cabins on the Caribbean sailings of the Opera and Lyrica. It took quite a lot of looking to find the deals. I don't think I can mention the agency here on the board, but it was one of those outfits that markets itself as a last-minute travel specialist.

I figure I saved about $150 per person for an oceanview guarantee -- based on rates for the same category on other sites.
