mar915 Posted January 31, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 31, 2018 My mom wants to do a cruise that involves Santorini and Katakolan Greece. She can't do alot of steps and I know that is an issue. Can she go some places in those towns or does she have to stay on a ship. She can walk just not alot of hills or steps. (She walks all around disney easily)
Ine Posted January 31, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 31, 2018 Katakolon is a small village with some shops etc., no steps or hills there. Also a small touristic train departing from the centre.http://www.katakolon.org/tourist-fun-train.html Unless you want to go to Olympia, then you need to go by bus and the park has some unpaved roads. Santorini is a tender port. Apart from going into/from the tender, you need the cable car to go up and down to get to the village. Once there you can walk around, some steps going into restaurants or shops. The same for the well known village of Oia, for which you either take the small ferryboat rom the tenderdock to get there or by bus. Return only by bus. anthonyy7 Posted February 1, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 1, 2018 (edited) Ancient Olympia isn’t hilly at all but the walking won’t be on pavement. The surface is level dirt/gravel. She may do fine there. Sent from my iPad using Forums Edited February 1, 2018 by anthonyy7
