Radiance - best place for views?

Sailing RCI Radiance Seward to Vancouver. Where is the best place onboard for viewing? Thought of solarium, but you can only see one side. Is there a comfortable, inside location, either front or back of ship, where you can get a panoramic view while comfortably relaxing rather than standing outside along railing?

So I was thinking about the aft lounge on deck 6 and then realized how much of an idiot I am. The Viking Crown lounge is the perfect spot for indoor panoramic viewing. The only downside is that location is frequently used for events so they might displace you at some point.

The Viking Lounge is a zoo with "campers" sitting there all day, and seating very limited. It is also half the Diamond Lounge, which I use, but can't get in unless you are Diamond and above.

My spots are the lowest open rail deck. There is also an open forward deck, that is miserable in foul weather. The side decks are quite protected and I simply go side to side.

I'm again on this cruise and certainly enjoy it. I do suggest investing time out at Hubbard and being/staying out more than the "hour" that most people do. There is a sea lion haul out, and I've been successful seeing bears the last couple times there. I had a full 10 minutes of 2 bears running in and out of the sea- with magnificent viewing. Nobody out on deck except a few staff.

I'm on the northbound Radiance on May 17th. Do you think there will be bears at Hubbard? I plan to be out on the side decks switching sides.

maybe. :) you don't "switch sides" if you are looking for bears. and my experience for seeing them have been on the outer 2/3's of the bay. starboard side going in, port leaving. As I state- it requires multiple HOURS of time invested, meaning , no priority for dinner, or shows, casino or anything else. :) And most important a good pair of wide angle binoculars, at least 10 power.

When we were sailing by Hubbard Glacier, we actually went out (with hat, gloves, jackets and coffee) about 2 hours before we got to the glacier. We stood along the port side right below the stairs that go to the helipad. There is a little rail to put coffee mugs and cameras on. Since there were several of us, we held each others place when we need to get refills of coffee, etc. It was a great place to watch. I do recommend you dress warm. When the ship turned around, we went down to the buffet and sat outside on the back deck. There are tables and chairs there.
