Bringing on alcohol

We are booked for Avalon cruise Romantic Danube in May 2019.

Curious if we are allowed to bring our own alcohol on board ?

Yes for consumption in your cabin. I believe if you bring it to the dining room they may charge you a corking fee.

Yes, and you can bring some back each time you go ashore. You have a small refrigerator in your room.

Free beer and wine for lunch and dinner, plus two for one happy hour before dinner. That was plenty for us. But if you like the hard stuff, sure... bring your own, mix it in your room and enjoy it in the lounge or out on the deck. But I would not bring it into the dining room.

By the way, I found the wines excellent and they varied with the region we were sailing through so you get to try the local stuff as you cruise along.
