My mother and I are taking a cruise via royal Caribbean nov 28th for one day. We are planning on booking a day tour through a tour company but we are a bit nervous with the timing. Royal Caribbean schedule says we will get to Cuba at 7 am and our tour starts at 9 am. The tour company cannot wait if anyone is late and we are nervous we won't have enough time to get off the boat. Has anyone recently traveled to Cuba via Royal Caribbean that can give some advice? It's hard to schedule anything with only one day! Thank you in advance.

We aren't cruising to Cuba until October of next year; however, we have had tours scheduled at 9:00am plenty of times and had no trouble at all getting there, so I really wouldn't worry about it.;) Just be among the first group allowed to get off of the ship. Our tour is through RCCL; we're taking the classic car tour and are very excited about it!!:D Price for the car is a total of $275 for 3 people to take the tour, so around $92 per person, for a 4 hour tour, not bad in my opinion!

I went to Cuba in July with family and took the day long “Best of Havana” tour through the ship which was excellent. We docked at 7 a.m., but disembarkation did not immediately take place. You should plan on being in the first group. You have to go through Cuban customs with your passport and visa and then leave a little time to exchange money which will be immediately after you pass through customs.
