What coffee to buy?

Will be on NCL cruise of Feb. 24. What coffee do you recommend I should buy on my trip.

Looking for good coffee which sells for $20 or under per Lb. Does any Kona brand sell at this level?

The least expensive 100% Kona coffee I’ve found was at Costco which recently increased from $20 to $25 for a one pound bag of whole beans. I enjoy 100% Kona coffee but due to a beetle infestation the prices are increasing.

For the 10% Kona coffee blends my preference is the Royal Kona brand. I prefer the unflavored blends but they have flavored versions. Those are about $5-$6 per 8 oz bag but Longs Drugs sometimes have it for about $4 on sale.

Think you meant 'most expensive' but I agree that Costco is the best price around. Some of the highest prices we found were at the coffee farms on the Big Island. There's something special about buying it right at the source, and you may be getting something you can't even buy in stores, but it is very expensive. You can also sometimes find coffee farmers selling at the Farmers' Markets.
