7 pm flight from MCO, how busy??

I know MCO can be VERY busy in the hours following the ships back in port. If we don't fly out till 7, how busy is it around 4:30-5 pm?

MCO is always busy with families on vacation, with cruisers making up only a small portion of their customer base -- many of the international flights to Europe will be leaving in the evening. Arrive early and plan to hurry up and wait! :(

MCO is full of families who have been to Disney also. These are tired families with kids and inexperienced travelers. This can cause frustrating experiences at security. Slow lines. Last year we ended up with some persons McDonald's in our TSA box where you put belongings to go through screening.

Allow plenty of time no matter what time of day

I have flown out of MCO in the evening a few times. It's always just as crowded as earlier in the day. Just pack your patience. I've never had any bad experiences, just slow going.
