Restaurant recommendation/authentic

My hubby and I want to eat at a great authentic local mexican place in cozumel. We don't want flashy tourist places. We are looking for great local food in a safe environment. Any recommedations?

If you have the time, I would consider the food tour that cozumelchef.com offers. At the very least send Emily an email and she can perhaps give you a recommendations.

Have you tried searching Tripadvisor?

Definitly EL MORO, real authentic mexican food! CAUTION: It only opens at 1:00 PM and is closed on Thursdays.

Herb, do you happen to know if the restaurant has free wifi? It's not a deal breaker as I can stop in somewhere else to check in at home...but it would be convenient! Thanks!

Sorry! Do not know if they have wifi. Maybe you can ask them (phone call - they speak English there).

We have always enjoyed Pancho's Backyard and there is a link for a coupon for a free margarita. Located in safe area and they do have free WiFi.
