Sand Bar Excursion on Labadee

I cancelled my Cabana on Nellie and booked the Sand Bar Excursion which was on sale today. (kids are $9) The excursion leaves at 10am and returns at 12am. We booked the water park for 100pm will head back to the ship by 2pm and take advantage of a half empty ship. The cruise leaves at 6pm.

I felt bad giving up our cabana, but I think the sandbar experience will make up for it. I would love to know if we can take sandwiches of the ship to eat at the sand bar. Has anyone done this excursion yet? Do you know if this excursion tends to run late? Do they offer floats ? what kind of drinks do they serve? Should I wait to book the water park when we get back? Its on sale now for $19.75. Is that a good price?

I am excited to do something new in Labadee. I usually would make this a cheap beach day, but wanted to do something special .
