RiVL520 Posted October 10, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 10, 2017 We are going to Mr. Sanchos and doing a boat snorkel on our trip to Cozumel. Is there anywhere to buy reef safe biodegradable sunscreen either at mr. Sanchos or possibly cruise pier? It's a carnival cruise so I think it's puerto maya.... JohninDC Posted October 11, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 11, 2017 You can order it in advance from Amazon. You might be able to buy it at one of the pier shops.
donnaab Posted October 13, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 13, 2017 You should be ok with an oxybenzone free sunscreen. Oxybenzone is the sunscreen ingredient mostly blamed for harming reefs. All major brands of sunscreens have oxybenzone free products- just need to read labels to learn the active ingredient. Many spf 50 and higher have oxybenzone but easy to find spf 30and lower. You can also use a mineral based sunscreen with titanium dioxide or zinc oxide. These products are also easy to find But they are very whitening! LuckyStar Posted October 15, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 15, 2017 We have a lot of local places where I am. But I order a lot of vitamins online. You can find several sites that are reputable.
