SLSD Posted October 16, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 16, 2017 We have recently signed up for our second Seabourn cruise and have been award OBC. I would like to understand exactly what this OBC can be used for. Can it be used for Seaboard excursions? Can it be used for spa services? Can it be used for premium wines, etc? Can it be used for purchases in the onboard shop? Anything else?
dalliowner Posted October 16, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 16, 2017 You can use your OBC for anything, wines, spa, excursions - jewellery (-my favourite!) shop purchases - the only exclusion is the Casino! Hope this helps - go and enjoy spending it! Have a great cruise.

Steve007NY Posted October 17, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 17, 2017 Can OBC credit for deposit for future cruise deposits? We’re finding ourselves with an abundance of OBC for our upcoming cruise, between referral, shareholder, Seabourn and TA credits. Life could be worse
dalliowner Posted October 17, 2017 #5 Share Posted October 17, 2017 I do not think so , only things that can be put on your onboard account, future cruise deposits have be paid by credit card and not put on account.
Jay23 Posted October 17, 2017 #6 Share Posted October 17, 2017 Please correct me if this is wrong but I think that although you can buy Excursions with OBC, you cannot use OBC for Excursions booked on line before the cruise. Anything booked on line will be charged to your CC at the time of booking. However if you wait till you get on board then you are able to book the Excursion using OBC. The risk is that your chosen excursion is full up by the time you get on board. J
Shellback2014 Posted October 17, 2017 #7 Share Posted October 17, 2017 You are correct. You use your credit card to book excursions online, but once on board, you get the good folks at Seabourn Square to change the booking to your OBC account. They will then issue a credit to your credit card. I’ve done it more than once.
Jay23 Posted October 18, 2017 #8 Share Posted October 18, 2017 Thank you Shellback. I have a couple of friends going on Seabourn next year and they are asking us for info and advice. I thought this was the case so I will pass this on. J
