How early can I check in?

Leaving out on the Jade and although I have a 1200 check in time, what's the earliest I can check in? First timer on NCL.

I don't think those check in times are actually enforced, especially for the smaller ships. They are mainly to encourage the arrivals to spread out a bit. There are just too many variables that can affect a guest's arrival time at the port. We like to arrive in time to check in at 10:30 which is about when the terminal begins accepting the new guests. Less crowded and then an early boarding when it begins usually around 11:15 - 11:30

Thank you for the info. I think I should start this vacation as early as possible!!!!

Right you are. We walk up that gangway as early as boarding begins, step onto deck 7 with our smiling faces being greeted by their smiling faces, head up to the pool deck (our routine), get an adult beverage, grab some food, sit back, people watch, and let the vacation begin!!!! You are now safely and comfortable secured far away from the real world that you can see, but now ignore, just beyond the ship!

The earlier you check in, the longer you will have to wait in the terminal to board.

But....to me, that just heightens the excitement of "let the adventure begin". Once I'm all checked in and sitting waiting, it's vacation time. And fun people watching the other arriving guests. Even with a slow boarding process, 30 - 45 minutes maybe.
