WDeany Posted August 18, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 18, 2018 We are traveling to Tampa by car from Montgomery, AL the day before our cruise on Dec 2. Can anyone suggest a hotel to stay in the night before so we can be at the terminal on time. Any suggestions for hotels in Tampa would be greatly appreciated. And parking at the terminal? Thanks so much!
Adoptionmsw Posted August 19, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 19, 2018 We stay at the Quality Inn Airport Cruise Port. It’s not fancy but it includes a $10 shuttle to the cruise port, you can leave your car on the property for a fee. You may want to compare their price with the price at the cruise terminal parking garage. The hotel is within walking distance of a large Publix as well as several interesting restaurants. We go to Tampa by air so the parking is not an issue for us. They also have a free airport shuttle. We have found it to be clean and quiet. If I remember correctly, it’s on Dale Mabry. PelicanBill Posted August 26, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 26, 2018 The Hyatt Place Tampa Airport/Westshore has an Airport shuttle. My neighbor just stayed there before their cruise and for a $60 fee they got picked up at the Airport, taken to the pier the next day, and picked up at the pier and taken to the Airport on return. They would have taken them somewhere to kill time and hold on to their luggage if they'd wanted too. Said they had an excellent breakfast as well. Ken076 Posted September 13, 2018 #4 Share Posted September 13, 2018 Checkout the HI Express - Tampa Rocky Point. On the Bay next to Bahama Breeze and across the Causeway form Whiskey "something". Parking at the Cruise Terminal is convenient and Valet Service for extra $20. Maybe 15-20 minutes to the Port.
