New to Holland America questions regarding soda packages

Hi I am new to Holland America and we will be sailing on the Zuiderdam this July. I was wondering how the soda package works, It looks like both guests must get the same package. My husband does not drink soda so it would be a waste for him. I also see that they have drink cards. Do you carry it around and show it when you want a drink? Is the package and cards for fountain drinks or cans? Does the Zuiderdam have a freestyle machine? Thanks for any information you can give me.

No free style machines . The soda is probably fountain or cans. If's it's from the can you won't get the can to top off later.

I purchased the unlimited soda package last week. Did not have to purchase for both of us in the cabin. I wished I would have purchased the $25 (for $50 in sodas) card instead. I did not get the value out of it on a four port, seven day cruise.
