What to do in Port Canaveral?

Looking at a cruise from NJ and one port is Port Canaveral. Not really excited about stopping here...change my mind!!

We had entertained the idea of going to Magic Kingdom since our daughter has never been there yet and she will be 7 yrs old. but don't seem like it's a good bang for the buck. The prices and transfer time doesn't seem worth it to me.

So what else is there to do here at this port that is family friendly. If you can included cost, etc. that would be great. Thanks!

Nice beach options or Kennedy Space Center are my suggestions.
