Booking for next year (2018)

Anyone travelling as a single be aware that RCI will not accept booking for Z1 (GTY) staterooms unless you agree to be put on a waiting list. Despite having to pay almost the same as two people you have to have the uncertainty of no cruise if stateroom unavailable. Only way found round it pay the extra to upgrade to 6v, and have the Deluxe drink package.

Book the GTY rate with a TBD as the second person - no issues and you might even get the taxes back when the second person is a no show.

I just booked a GTY and put my husband as the second passenger since they would not allow me to book it solo. He was a no show and I got his taxes back AND double points.

Outside of NA (like the OP is), the taxes (and in the case of Aussie booking the grats as well) are included in the price - not broken out like in the US.They may not refund those under those booking rules.
