DaveOKC Posted November 4, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 4, 2017 We are fairly new to using Uber. Where do you meet your Uber driver at the San Diego airport? We are arriving mid-morning on a Friday, so hopefully not quite as busy.
DaveOKC Posted November 4, 2017 Author #2 Share Posted November 4, 2017 I should add - we are arriving on SW, so I assume Terminal One.
Rare Roz Posted November 4, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 4, 2017 Dave, I was wondering the same thing. This is what the Uber website says: At terminal 1, exit from baggage claim and cross the sky bridge to meet your driver at the short-term parking lot. The airport website says: Terminal 1: Exit baggage claim via the escalators, walk across the Sky Bridge toward Ground Transportation and the parking lot, exit down the escalators toward the parking lot, and the location is at the foot of the escalators along the sidewalk. jamesr3939 Posted November 5, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 5, 2017 Those are perfect directions and there will be a sign for "Ride Sharing" pickup at the bottom of the escalators from the sky bridge.
rj42 Posted November 8, 2017 #5 Share Posted November 8, 2017 You can also follow signs to the USO, which has an elevator to its entrance next to the Ride Sharing pickup area. The exit door to the street has a Starbucks right by it. Cheaper options than Uber include taking the public bus that goes from the airport to near the cruise terminal, taking the Wyndham Bayside airport shuttle, which is across the street from the cruise terminal, or walking, as I usually do. Another option for going to the airport is to hop in a pedicab, which will also take you along the waterfront.
jamesr3939 Posted November 20, 2017 #6 Share Posted November 20, 2017 Another option for going to the airport is to hop in a pedicab, which will also take you along the waterfront. At 3X the price of any other options.
