Paint by numbers review, Liberty to Roatan-Belize-Cozumel May 6-13

Recommended Posts

1. Galveston Limo's airport to port transportation is top notch.

2. Apparently Liberty is refueling every Sunday so smoking is only allowed in the casino upon boarding. Enjoy the port side pool deck while you can.

3. The MDR food hasn't improved with the new menu, but service is much more efficient.

4. Liberty is well maintained and ongoing maintenance is not ignored.

5. Ice show and In The Air are fantastic, I saw SNF on LB in 2012, didn't want to go back.

6. The Captain's announcements always made me think of Chris Tucker's question to Jackie Chan in Rush Hour: "Do you understand the words coming out of my mouth?" because I never did.

7. Roatan fixed their dock in a hurry, and it was nicely done.

8. Upachaya Eco Resort has the best snorkeling tour I've done since Woodwind took us to Klein Bonaire. And the provided lunch onshore was great. Can't recommend Upachaya enough.

9. The Lamanai (Belize) bus/speedboat/walking tour was great, but what a long, long, long, long day.

10. Tendering in Belize is relatively painless as far as tendering goes.

11. Cozumel? We were docked in Cozumel? (I spent my day boogie boarding on the Flowrider. I'm too old for stand up.)

12. Lunch at Sabor was good.

13. Lunch at Giovanni's was tolerable. I pay for the tiramisu and the rest is bonus.

14. In general, service aboard ship was excellent. Saw plenty of bar staff around the pool deck during the day, deck 8 starboard cabin steward was great.

15. Here on CC I learned to check the air filters in the cabins. So far I've removed three totally clogged filters and the improvement in climate control is worth the minimal labor of removing the vent cover and filter. My wife wasn't complaining of allergies aboard ship which I overheard a few times and that's a major bonus.

Did you have anyone replace the filters?
