Passport book

This thread is not about pros and cons of passport books. just for info. I'm curious, has anyone who has sailed the Caribbean and for what ever reason missed the boat and didn't have a passport book. Could you share the experience? Have read second hand stories about it, never read a true first hand account. Thanks

One shouldn't rely on things always being that easy but it does show that it doesn't need to be as complex as some think.
