Question for Those Who Recently Visit Orient

Some of the recent pictures have shown a lot of seaweed piled on the beach. Can anyone tell me if the beach has been cleaned up or if not how did it effect your visit?

Also...any problems getting taxi drivers to take you there?

We were there last month. Seaweed was minimal, and they were raking it up when we got there early in the morning. No problem getting a cab to take us there, and there were available taxis for the ride back to the port. We asked to be dropped off at the Perch Lite bar on the nude side of Orient Beach.

There were plenty of taxis available for both directions.

We went to Bikini Bar today. They had their seaweed cleaned up but everywhere else it was piled up. Here's a photo right outside Bikini Bar bounds.
