if you are able to handle your own bags, the fastest and cheapest way to the pier is to take the Skytrain. Fare includes the $5 surcharge for trips originating at YVR and should be about $16 for both of you. It is very conveniently located right outside the terminal. You need to get off at the waterfront station. If you are seniors it is even cheaper. There is a 5 minute walk to the pier from Waterfront station.
