Caribbean cruise

Hi at the present time if you are flying on a P&O flight with Thomsons or Thomas cook it is 23 kg hold baggage and 5 kg hand baggage.

We have done this a few times. It is tight but manageable. One tip buy all you toiletries airside after your hand baggage has been weighed.

I have read that sometimes it is weighed again before boarding plane but that has never been our experience.
We are looking at the Caribbean for a special cruise As we want to fly then cruise what's the baggage limit?
Hi

If you are flying out of Gatwick, you may have the option to fly with BA or Virgin and the hold baggage allowance is higher,32kg ?, but there is a disadvantage of having to reclaim your bags at Barbados. With Thomas Cook and Thomson you don't see your bags until your cabin on board. Have a good cruise.

As has been said the allowance on a P&O charter is 23kg hold luggage and 5kg hand luggage on both Thomson and Thomas Cook. Some people we met recently on our Azura cruise had travelled with BA and they were not impressed at having to get their cases at the Airport and then they were put on the coach to the ship. Yes they did have a slightly higher allowance but they felt that missing out on the direct transfer - down the aircraft steps onto coaches, straight to the port, no going into the terminal building, no collecting luggage was better than the extra luggage.

We felt that our Thomson flight (and the previous one too) was the best charter flight we've had. We did opt for Premium seats for that extra bit of space and the other extras. The meal was as good as we could expect on a charter flight and hopefully we will be on a Thomson flight again next year - far superior to Thomas Cook in our opinion.

We were allocated a BA scheduled flight on our recent Caribbean cruise with P&O and although we had the free bar for the whole flight and the ability to buy an extra case allowance (which we did for 3 weeks) having to go through immigration at Bridgetown was a real downer. Took about 90 mins from landing to reach the ship.
