awestover89 Posted August 19, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2017 I was looking at cruises and noticed the Mariner has two sailings that look identical, but have different names. Feb. 19, 2018 - 5 Night CNY Spice of Southeast Asia https://secure.royalcaribbean.com/cruises/5NightCny-SpiceOfSoutheastAsia-MA05I317 Feb. 24, 2018 - 5 Night Spice of Southeast Asia https://secure.royalcaribbean.com/cruises/5NightSpiceOfSoutheastAsiaCruise-MA05I318 They look exactly the same except one has "CNY" in the title. Does anybody know what CNY stands for, or if there's any significance to it being listed separately?
cruiserinsg Posted August 19, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 19, 2017 CNY = Chinese New Year.
datolim Posted August 19, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 19, 2017 It is super peak period, CNY. Cruises 2 or more weeks later should be selling for much less.
awestover89 Posted August 19, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted August 19, 2017 That makes a lot of sense. Also explains why the Feb 16th Quantum out of Shanghai is so much more expensive than the cruises on either end. Interestingly, the two cruises above are the same price
