bakcd Posted April 15, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2018 We will be staying at the Boston Renaissance Waterfront pre-cruise prior to our cruise. W hat are the transit options to other parts of Boston from this location? Is there another source for purchasing toiletries other than the CVS nearby? Perhaps a larger store such as Target or Walmart?
1025cruise Posted April 15, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 15, 2018 From the Renaissance, you can take the silver line to South Station. Nothing in the immediate vicinity of the seaport area like a Target.
138east Posted April 15, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 15, 2018 http://Www.mbta.com for Boston transit info. Renaissance is between the World Trade and Silver Line Way Silver Line stations. It is FREE from the airport so you can save some money if you can roll your luggage a bit. From World Trade or Silver Line Way it's $2.75 to go to South Station for a free transfer to the Red Line connecting to other subway lines. Not much retail at all near the RenIssance. No big discount stores in downtown Boston.

Hi, I work near the Seaport (close to your hotel) and can confirm that there absolutely is a Target nearby....as long as you consider 2.5 miles nearby. It is located in a shopping center called "South Bay" and is in the Dorchester neighborhood of the city. Not walking distance and not accessible (easily) by public transportation, but would be a quick Uber/Lyft ride there and back if not done during rush hour. Middle of the day, would likely take about 10 minutes. If you only have a couple of things to buy, probably would not be worth it to uber to Target. But if you have a long list, then Target's pricing will be much better than a CVS in the city. Enjoy! Lynne from Boston
