Smbruner Posted February 2, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 2, 2018 We're good on the cold weather stuff but wondering what does everyone wear to dinner? Do I need to bring anything "nicer" and does my husband need polo shirts or shirts with a collar? And, can I wear my brown tennis shoes to dinner? Thanks so much - we leave TOMORROW! Have a great time! If you have a chance, let us know how the RT is during this time of year, especially any excursions "in winter". We'll be about a month behind you, but a different ship. Thanks! SarniaLo Posted February 2, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 2, 2018 The atmosphere on board is very casual and you can wear whatever you like and feel comfortable in (as long as you are decent, I guess). I have even seen people come in sportswear and trainers for the Christmas dinner (where the family of the crew come all dressed up) and nobody batted an eyelid. There is no expectation for you to dress up at dinner, but you can if you feel like it. Your shoes will be fine and polo shirts can be fine as well. hallasm Posted February 2, 2018 #7 Share Posted February 2, 2018 Good answers to you question. It’s an expedition ship - not a cruise ship - the dress code is very relaxed and nothing like formal nights. Some guests do chose to dress up a little for dinner, but the choice is down to you. Please let us have a review of your cruise. I’m planning my next Hurtigruten Cruise by January 2019. Sent from my iPad using Forums
