MsSoCalCruiser Posted January 20, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2018 Does anyone know the distance from where the cruise ships dock in Victoria (HAL if it matters) and Red Fish Blue Fish? Someone mentioned it in a review so I looked it up on yelp and it is definitely a place we would like to try. Thank you in advance!
Langley Cruisers Posted January 20, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 20, 2018 In my opinion it is definitely walkable for a reasonably fit person on a nice day stop in Victoria, probably 25 minutes' walk. If desired, a cab would be no more than maybe $6.00 one way. Google map below - your cruise ship docks at Ogden Point and I pin-pointed the restaurant. If you are walking, I would go along Dallas Road to Oswego, and then all the way down to Belleville Street. This will bring you out at the Parliament Buildings. https://www.google.ca/maps/place/Red+Fish+Blue+Fish/@48.4183797,-123.3681566,15.5z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x548f749a5ce47ac1:0x1d6fbdbfe21b6b3d!8m2!3d48.4243629!4d-123.3703252 Some notes on your restaurant of choice: it is delicious. The chowder is to die for and definitely worthy of a bowl each or to share. I had a cod tacone which was fabulous. The day we were there last summer, the line-up was 45 minutes long, so if you are going in summer do be prepared to wait. There is limited seating and it is very crowded. However, since it is part of your day in Victoria, I think you'll enjoy walking around and making this one of your stops. http://www.redfish-bluefish.com/ . Rare martincath Posted January 20, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 20, 2018 What Karen said! I find that it's definitely busiest at 'peak lunch' - noonish to 2pm - so if you go earlier or later you won't need to spend as much time queuing and finding a seat will be easier too.
