I'm about to book our first Alaska Cruise. As we are on budget, will settle with inside cabin. Would like to get some feedback on cabin selection. What is available now for deck 7 are forward, no mid ship. or Deck 3 slightly mid ship. A bit worry for deck3, will it be noisy?

Which is better ?

Thank you

I have no information cabins but is your cruise eligible for the Sail Beyond event? The 2 free perks are only available for Oceanview and above. But with just the beverage package and gratuities on a 7 day cruise, you'll save about $650 pp. I also saved money of the actual fare buy booking through a travel agent. I know we can't recommend TA's but I went on a website where TA's have to bid my cruise and found a deal that saved me about $1200 in fares and perks.

We have 3 OV cabins on deck 3 booked for this summer on Solstice to Alaska. Very convenient and once you’re in the cabin hallways quiet enough. Also we like mid ships location over far forward for less motion.

If your budget can stand an OV, your beverage Package could be included.

I know S and M ships plans are different but I’d pick the deck 3.

Have a great Alaskan cruise.

Deck 7 forward inside cabins are above crew areas and under either other cabins or crew areas. Although there could be some noise from the crew areas, it should not be a major problem.

Deck 3 slightly mid ship I take to mean mid ship but fairly close to the forward elevator. These cabins are above other cabins but below public areas such as the photo gallery, Michael's Club (a lounge for passengers in suites.) Probably the biggest source of noise would be the foot traffic right after each of the evening shows in the theater. But these cabins are otherwise in a nice location since they are near the entrances to the main theater level and will have much less movement.

However, if I am misreading your definition of "slightly mid ship" and you are closer to the middle elevators, please note that inside cabin numbers 3070 through 3110 and 3071 through 3109 are under the casino and thus should be avoided.

Enjoy the cruise.
