Kiwi Kruzer Posted March 27, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 27, 2005 On Diamond b2b 1/8/06 and 1/20/06. What is the best transfers service(taxi, shuttle, bus) and expected cost from airport to dowtown area(planning on stay at Marriott) WAVTAM As you come out from the International Terminal at Sydney, Taxis to your left...approx AU$ 30 into the city .......... Shuttles to your right approx AU$ 9 per person. Taxis will take you direct to your hotel........ shuttles will wait till they are full and then take off on a tour of the inner city dropping each group off at their destination......... They don't have an Airport bus anymore as they are trying to get folk to use the underground.........but unless you are familiar with where it goes........ it can be a hassle....... best to use Taxi or Shuttle....... at least you get a "door to door " service. Globaliser Posted March 29, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 29, 2005 Taxis to your left...approx AU$ 30 into the cityFrankly, I'd highly recommend a taxi over the other options - I think $30 is probably about the top end of the likely fare to get to either Marriott in central Sydney. If you're brave enough to lug your baggage on the airport train, getting to the Sydney Harbour Marriott (on Pitt Street) is relatively easy. If you get on a northbound train from the airport, it should go directly to Circular Quay station. The Sydney Harbour Marriott is less than five minutes' walk from the station. However, you do have to make sure that you're sufficiently mobile when carrying all your bags.
