Princess excursion to St. Barts?

We'll be on the Caribbean Princess in September - we've been to beautiful St. Martin several times and I'd love to see St. Barts. Looks like the best way is to get there through the cruise line - has anyone done this excursion recently? Any input?

I would recommend going on a cruise excursion. I haven't been on a cruise excursion to St. Barts ... my DH and I did a self trip while on a land trip. It was HORRIBLE. We rented a car .... traffic was bumper to bumper and we had a fender bender. The guy wanted $50 and my DH said NO. ??? So the guy called a cop over and it was an unnecessary nightmare.

Not knowing anything about the island, we just aimlessly drove around .... it was useless.

A cruise excursion HAS to be better than that. AND a cruise excursion WILL wait for you to return if you are late. That's important.

We will be on RCCL in October and they don’t offer any excursions - could you post the info from Princess. I wonder if we could book through that company directly. TIA

Captain Alan offers a private excursion to Anguilla and St. Barts. We are looking into this as we have been to St. Maarteen several times.
