Gratuities Scrapped ?

I wonder what, if anything, P&O will do about drink prices, at the time that they introduced the auto grat. there was comment from them that drink prices included a gratuity element which would ensure bar staff could participate in the service gratuity scheme?

Probably nothing. As the bar staff should now be getting all their wages including the bit that was previously funded by the gratuity element. The gratuity mark up is still there in the price of the drink.

As for any behind the scenes staff incentive, or disincentive, scheme, That need not concern us. many crew grades never participated in the gratuity funded scam, oops, scheme. now the entire crew should be paid in a similar way.
