All photos taken this week are welcome (not just cruising). Prizes will not be awarded. Discovering the joy of photography is the prize. The idea is to get folks out using their cameras for more than vacations and toddler birthdays. Post one. Post many. Up to you. Rare pierces Posted October 16, 2018 Author #2 Share Posted October 16, 2018 It is late Sunday afternoon after a busy week. The relaxing weekend never appeared since it was time to start Kitchen Remodel Phase 2. Half of the cabinets we built and installed 25 years ago have been rendered into a stack of scrap and wood for the new carcasses is sitting in the garage waiting for magic to happen. The old cabinets were not anywhere near as attractive as the new generation in Phase 1, but they were sturdy as hell. Eight total hours of demolition has left me very aware of my mortality and very appreciative of the analgesic effect of a bottle of well-brewed “foot medicine” (as my Father-in-law famously referred to alcoholic beverages). Krazy Kruizers Posted October 18, 2018 #3 Share Posted October 18, 2018 Well -- that picture took for you. I have to use my desk top computer to get a larger size and color -- but I can't sit here for too long. May try an old picture to see if that works. zackiedawg Posted October 18, 2018 #5 Share Posted October 18, 2018 (edited) Back again with some wildlife stuff from this past Saturday: (By the way, I like that clicking on the photos can take you to the larger view for much nicer look at the details!) Closeup of a large adult green iguana, turning himself orange for mating: A wee wee wee little ruby-throated hummingbird - these are VERY difficult to find randomly in the wild forest, rather than at a backyard feeder!: A pretty, wide-body dragonfly: A tricolor heron, watching the water for unwary fish, with his reflection shining back: A green heron walking up a reed, hoping to get at some dragonflies buzzing by: Edited October 18, 2018 by zackiedawg
