Katomerikaf Posted April 6, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 6, 2017 Just back from Discovery and wondered if anyone can tell me anything about the llama thing going on there! Staff I asked just shrugged :confused:
Rare dronnygirl Posted April 6, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 6, 2017 We were told there are 3 lamas - all inherited when the ship was purchased. Nice to meet you on the lovely St Lucia beach:)
davecttr Posted April 6, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 6, 2017 Last year the social hostess explained. Apparently they are not Llamas but Alpaca or something. They were there when Thomson got the ship and I think maybe the crew think of them as mascots. Have you noticed they move around :D Spirt had a ships cat which lived on the bridge, not a real one but a fluffy toy.
Katomerikaf Posted April 6, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted April 6, 2017 Likewise Dronnygirl !! We did indeed see all three llamas. The blue and yellow ones didn't move at all through the two weeks but the pink one had to be carted on and off the ship each day to meet and greet us on the dockside - maybe it was Thomson's idea of having passengers know where to go !! davecttr Posted April 6, 2017 #5 Share Posted April 6, 2017 Thinking about the state of some passengers I would have thought a pink elephant.........!
