Taxi or Excursion for Maho Beach?

We have paid RC almost $40 per person to go to Maho Beach to watch the planes. Would it be better to just take a taxi? How much is the fare?

Omg shared van taxi at the pier to maho should be 6 to 8 dollars pp each way ... depending if van is full. If the excursion doesn’t offer anything else than take taxi

Has anyone been to Maho Beach recently?

We were there this past Christmas Day. The bars (Sunset and Driftwood) are open. There is sand in front of Driftwood and the spot where the airplanes take off and land, but only big rocks next to Sunset. The planes are still coming and going, but there are not as many big ones as there were pre-Irma. Only 3 on the day we were there and one of them came in after 5:00 PM.

We paid $4.00 per person round trip via the bus in December. Super easy, convenient, and almost as fast as a taxi.

We have paid RC almost $40 per person to go to Maho Beach to watch the planes. Would it be better to just take a taxi? How much is the fare?

I was wondering the same thing about paying for the excursion. There is a sale that ends tonight, its $31. I decided I didnt want to be there for 3.5 hours so a bus or taxi is my choice.
