emelvee Posted September 26, 2012 #2 Share Posted September 26, 2012 If it's the type that already has alcohol in the mix, I'm guessing not (even if the alcohol content is similar to wine). If it's the type that you have to add liquor, I don't see why not.
kirban67 Posted September 26, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted September 26, 2012 Doesn't have alcohol ..just a mix...
Colorado Kat Posted September 26, 2012 #4 Share Posted September 26, 2012 You can bring a "reasonable" amount of non-alcoholic drinks. "Reasonable" is defined by who is baby-sitting the scanners. Some people bring mixers on, and purchase a bottle thru the Bon-Voyage program.
emelvee Posted September 26, 2012 #5 Share Posted September 26, 2012 Doesn't have alcohol ..just a mix... I would think you'd be able to bring that IN ADDITION to wine, if you like.
MemphisFan Posted September 26, 2012 #6 Share Posted September 26, 2012 technically I think you could, but it must be in bottles that are 20 oz. or less each, up to 12 total per person. I don't think technically you could bring a full pina-colada mix bottle in place of the bottle wine

CapeCodCruiser Posted September 26, 2012 #10 Share Posted September 26, 2012 I am having my local liquor store order the 12 oz cans of bloody mary mix. You might see if yours can order the smaller size mixers of your choice. Many of the folks checking your carry-ons will overlook the over-sized mixer (1 liter) - but there's one in every crowd who is gonna flex his muscle and make it an issue. cespo Posted September 26, 2012 #11 Share Posted September 26, 2012 On my cruise earlier this month on the Dream, I brought 1 bottle of wine, 4 bottles of Mai Tai mixer, and a 24 pack of Coke for 2 people and no problems at all getting them on the ship. bbohbbneedacruise Posted September 27, 2012 #12 Share Posted September 27, 2012 I wasn't aware of an actual size limit for non-alcohol containers. Over on Carnival dot com at the bottom right of every page is this thing called FAQ's http://www.carnival.com/Core/FAQ.aspx?faq=beverage Liquor and Beverage PolicyBringing Alcohol On Board - Embarkation Day: Guests are prohibited from bringing alcoholic beverages on board. However, at the beginning of the cruise during embarkation day, guests (21 years of age and older) may bring on board one bottle (750ml) of wine or champagne, per person, only in their carry-on luggage. A $10 corkage fee per bottle will be charged should you wish to consume this wine in the main dining room; $14 corkage fee per bottle in the steakhouse. (A corkage fee is a charge exacted at a restaurant for every bottle of liquor served that was not bought on the premises) On embarkation day, each guest may bring a small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages on board and only in their carry-on luggage. A small quantity is considered a maximum of 12 bottles and/or cans, 20 ounces each or less.
lopat08865 Posted September 27, 2012 #13 Share Posted September 27, 2012 I brought on those frozen cardboard containers of juice -- pineapple, pina colada, and OJ -- that you buy in the supermarket. Had picked up some 1 liter plastic bottles from the local dollar store to mix them with water and then store them in the fridge. Tried to adhere to the 12x20oz limit per person, but as it turned out nobody really checked our carryons. [Miracle NY 9/11/12 sailing.] Brought 2 sixes of 11.2 oz [?] spicy hot v8 cans. Ordered tomato juice from room service to supplement it. Brought a bottle of simple syrup & one of Bailey's brand coffee creamer. Mixed to taste with Bon Voyage Jameson [equal parts?] to create near perfect Baileys...YUMMY:cool: Mixed THAT with on-board softserve ice cream for even more YUMMINESS:D:D Never got around to mixing up Amaretto [simple syrup + vodka + brown sugar + almond & vanilla extracts. Did make Sambuca [simple syrup + vodka + anise extract]. Nicetoo :D
